  1. I did a wiring project on my boat this past spring. Cleaned out a bunch of wiring that wasn't being used and organized some of what was (still a mess but is better than when i bought it). I put a heavy duty bus bar in the back of the boat and ran 4 gauge wire from it to the battery. I then ran my riggers with 30 amp inline fuses directly to the bus bar. My front end electronics (Fish finder, Fish hawk etc) went to a fuse panel that was wired to a switch on the dash then back to the bus bar using 10 gauge wire. Doing it this way with a flip of a switch all my electronics switch on or off so there's no chance of leaving anything on. It really cleans up the wiring that may be attached to the battery as well.
  2. I would rather catch 1 king than 20 lake trout. The fight like wet boots! but to each their own.

  4. Look at the buoy off Rochester and multiply it by 1.5 or 2 and that's your wave height from crest to trough. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. Stocking program is fine. Been alot of wind this year. Salmon just havent had that ideal stable temperature range to settle into since it's continuoulsy changing. A week of steady conditions and it will set back up and it will improve. Just have to work for em and cover a lot of water. Cant box out every trip.
  11. One thing i would like to see is the spring derby last longer than a week even if its 2. Hate spending $40 to fish maybe 2 days. That's why they haven't seen my money for it. The other 2 I always enter!
  12. hydraulic or rotary?
  13. It would occur between the tip of the rod to the release on the rigger. Where there's no swivel. Wouldn't happen everytime and sometimes would get into the spool and cause a bit of a mess. I still always ran 30 but just never was a fan of the stuff. Everyone has their preference I guess.
  14. flea flicker...... line twist. Really Bad ine twist. Big Game or Sea Flea
  15. I've only ever fished the creek by there where my buddies camp is. Not sure if it's connected to the bay but I assume? We always did pretty good through there with northern's casting larger spinner baits and medium size long a's along the weed lines. We would even hit a few in the scum with frog baits when targeting bass.
  16. I was one of those teams that could not return sunday. Sucks but what are you going to do. Congrats to the winners.

  18. I like to Look for 52 and lower. Then set your spread some below and some above. I personally like setting the probe rigger right in the middle at 47ish then sending the other rigger into the ice water below. Then run my divers and coppers accordingly. Some above and some right in the 47 degree range. Guesstimating anyways as far as line out for divers and length of coppers. Fish will begin to be out of temp here soon and even now it doesn't hurt to fish the marks even if it's in 60 degrees. My opinion anyways. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Oh it's not small. 70 boats last year roughly. Just easier to do it that way by in person. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. If you you do run the unit off a bus bar for ground but use the secondary ground cable directly to the battery it should clean up alot. Now i have a Garmin so I dont know how the Lowrance units work but I know that mine has that option. All of my electronics on the dash go to a fuse box then to the battery.
  21. If I remember correctly there's no mailing in checks or anything like that right? Cash only in person at Screwey Louies.
  22. Entry's being accepted now? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
