Clear water is cold and sucks. You want that pearl green nutrient rich water. If you can count the rocks on the bottom in twenty feet you won’t catch much. Green water holds temp and fish. Can’t promise it’s from the river east but it’s not off Sandy. My bet is there is still colored water there.

Genny east to I Bay and possibly beyond should still have that good green water and warmer temps. King bite has been good there from what I’ve heard.
Nope it’s actually excellent. Don’t fish the cold gin clear water, move till you find warmer water and good temp. Was out yesterday with some friends and did well.
Surprised by how little bird movement I’ve seen. Hopefully the recent weather will be a bonus for a good season. Everything seems to be a few weeks behind schedule.
Derbies are more about bragging rights than the money. Always nice to see your boat name on the board.
Fun to get out and compete. If at the end you cover your expenses you are killing it. 😎
