So I’m pretty new at the whole ice fishing thing. Went on Braddocks for a few hours this morning. Six inches of slush between the snow and the ice. What’s up with that? Probably explains why nobody was out. -

Here is my report from Braddocks today. Too windy and too cold for my liking. So I drove down to see how many were out. not a truck in the parking lot.

Recently my wife asked why I shoot them if most of them end up in a dumpster. I asked her if she thought when I catch a mouse in a mouse trap in our house if it bothered her that they ended up in the dumpster. She smiled and went about her day.

The one off Dewey was pretty chewed up but the one on West Ridge was perfect and has a new home. Can never know how long it will be before it gets hit but the .204 is ready to go.

Haven’t been out with the gun in a month. Going to go sit in a tree with the muzzleloader in the morning for a few hours. Don’t expect much but it needs to be fired and cleaned. Who knows.

Went and saw it this morning. Right side G2 busted off as well as the other tips on the right side. Also had a big puncture wound, hole in its neck below his head. He’s definitely been doing a lot of fighting.

You just never know what might walk out. Pretty busted up, love to see the buck he’s fighting with.
