  1. 15lb test tomorrow might be tough with the sea fleas. I run 12lb in the spring but that ship has sailed.
  2. Manny I run 40 and it’s a non issue.
  3. Great report. The Smart Troll’s are awesome, (when they work). Definitely a game changer but not cheap.
  4. Yeah it’s some academy thing. He graduates Thursday, hopefully it’s gone Friday lol.
  5. Out with Tommy this morning. Lines in at 6:30 and out at 9:00. Worked 150 to 180. 45 degree water was down 55 feet. Riggers at 45 and 55 mag divers out 100 and 120. All rods pulled fish. All Kings this morning, we were busy.

Really cool boat. Best of everything from motors (3) to electronics. Good luck with the sale but won’t last long. Perfect set up for Niagara River drift fishing as well as the other options you listed. Wow
  8. Dickey and I had lines in around 6 and pulled at noon. Brown trout fishing has been a little bit of a grind. Water temp is unstable but fishable. Goal was to get Rick a Brown for the board. Ended up landing 12 Browns, 6 kings and a steelhead. Biggest Brown weighed 10.15 lbs.
  9. Lines in at 6:30 out at 8:00, had to pick up my daughters puppy in the city by 9:30. Found Brown temp in 70 feet of water. Landed 5 Browns and 4 kings in an hour and a half. Biggest Brown weighed in at 11.06 lbs. Not a monster but still a lot of fun.
  10. Was with Legacy out of Bald Eagle. Highlight of the day was definitely sunrise but 5 kings on at the same time with a 3 man crew was a close second. 100 to 120 feet of water was a slam fest.
  11. Well that sucks lol. Curious to see if he continues to show up on camera.
  12. The cable bend of your riggers will give you an idea as will the bend in your dipsy rods. Run things that aren’t overly speed sensitive.
  13. Fisher?
  14. We’ve been pulling kings way above temp running for Browns. I’d spread out what I’m running, cover the column and throw a paddle or two or spin dr’s. I would also set in 100 and run a north south between 100 and 300. if you get activity in any specific area spend a little time at that depth.
  15. First trip on my boat since last August. Blessed to have friends to go out with but fun to be back on my old boat with a new lower unit. Plan this morning was to fish for Browns but not finding 60 on bottom till 100 foot I knew it would be tough till things settle a little. Worked 100 to 150 with riggers at 80 and 90 pulling spoons, a mag dipsy at 200 pulling a spin dr and a 400 copper pulling a chrome paddle and fly. Kings were plentiful as well as a steelhead and some lakers. Great to be back out.

  17. I just replaced the lower unit on my 250 Yamaha with one I purchased from SEI $1295 with a three year warranty. So far no issues with it. Less than half of what a Yamaha unit would cost.
