Buffalo harbor when the water in the harbor is warmer than Lake Erie is fantastic, usually November. I used to average one or two per trip trolling Bucher Depth Raiders at five miles per hour.

Don’t cheat the channel markers coming in or going out. There is submerged railroad tracks just west of the markers even though it looks navigable. Stay between the markers.

As long as it’s calm laker fishing is a no brainer, they are always there. Go west to Lighthouse in 100 foot of water (ish) and lower your riggers till they bump bottom and raise them up three or four feet. 1.8 mph ish for speed. If you need rigs DM Gambler. He sells the best ones you can buy and he is local, in Hilton. He will also be more than happy to give you tips to help you succeed.

We went one for three this morning. Landed one coho down 60 in 280. Lost a good king down 70 over 300 after a five minute fight. Foul hooked a small king in 279. Lots of blank screens and I had warm water inside. A good blow can only help.

I remember well the Sandy radio conversations. They were a lot of fun.

Unless it’s during a tournament I will always share intel. I always have. There are some that are tight lipped but many others do as well. Just ask.

Yesterday was great for us but fish are scattered. We spent time from 30-400. Ten fish box by 9:30 and upgraded from there. Our mid 22’s king got bumped by a mid 23’s laker. Some boats struggled but a lot of fish were caught. Today was tougher for us. 8 fish box, lost a good king late. Other boats crushed it. Top boats 10 fish box was over 150lbs. June is funky but the fish are there. Try different things, move if you are in dead water, spread your stuff out till you find them. When you do pay attention to where and circle back.

There are two marinas on Braddocks. Westpoint and Manitou Beach. Westpoint would probably be the easiest.

I was out from 6:30 to 7:30 with my jigging rod. Looked from 60 to 180 and didn’t see any hooks or bait.

Another great day out of Olcott today. 140 to 180 and heavy on the meat. Had our twelve fish limit at 9:30. 157 pound box.

We fished Olcott the past three days and did well. Will be fishing there again in the morning. Spoke with a few Oak guys over the past few days and heard mixed results.
