  1. What’s wrong with just using the Tdr1 and forget about tying the two together . The boat won’t turn any faster than the remote can turn it without the main running. If you have time to turn the wheel on the boat you’ll have enough time to fire up the main also and get out of a bad situation. I have my motors tied together and with out the main running the boat won’t turn any quicker.
  2. Does anyone know if the Pro Line Wa has any weak areas and is the 89 to early to be a all composite boat. I thought I’d ask here first because I know a few of the guys are running them. Thanks for any info good or bad!! Thanks PAP, made the biggest mistake of my life buying my first boat/well maybe not the biggest mistake that would be my fist marriage/then the boat!!
  3. Hey that’s a beauty!! I get the busy schedules with kids, my time is just around the corner a week and a half yet!! But perseverance will prevail!! Which it has!!! Thanks for the pic and may many more eyes come forth for you!!! PaP.
  4. I agree Les, love the lightning stripes design!! Plus the eyes gotta have eyes!! I put eyes on all my spoons, and if lures don’t have distinguished eyes I put better ones on!!
  5. Great they look great!! I’m happy that your thought and hard work paid off!! They are the most sleek profile of a rigger weight I’ve ever seen!!!
  6. Yup same here??? Unless I put all them in a folder and I have to put in each and everyone in like that, I think the boats name is misty as that’s the first and only pic I was going to do.
  7. It seems walleye fishing has been more than tough for every body of water, I used to have contacts with Erie but my buddy has moved along with his job. A great start on LakeO if your into silver fish!! There’s been a epic bite from kings in the 2 year olds. Wish it was this way on LakeO with the eyes, I’ve heard from different guys that they are chasing pickerel to make the day for clients!! But you guys had a more than satisfying trip from lake to lake. Thanks for the post and pics. PAP!!!
  8. This point is very important!! My SeaRay doesn’t have the wide gunnel top and I had to make plates to accept the rod holders. Trust me if you don’t need to do this, you will be better off because these plates I made I rounded all the corners ect. I made two sets one set was flush with the gunnels and the others I made the offset into the boat because the ones that are flush with the gunnels you can’t hardly get the pole out of the holder because they are to far out. So I made the plates to the inside now it’s no problem but they are hip bangers on rough days. Being in a aluminum 18’er there will be more rough days than I have have with a 22’ fiberglass cuddy. If I ever have the chance to do it again the next boat will have the broad gunnels, like most fishing boats do. It makes a huge difference!!
  9. Did you run them yet?? Will be interesting to see how well they track.
  10. Or run the glass fuse and not the other, or vise versa. I thought I’d be extra cautious and double fuse a electronic device and it wouldn’t work right, so I eliminated the second fuse and perfect, the guy on the phone I was trouble shooting said I have to much electrical resistance in the main line feeding the unit. He was correct.!!
  11. Double fuses may add to much resistance to the head unit. Just a thought. As I ran across this with a electrical issue before. Just a thought. Since it wasn’t that long ago.
  12. They did something to the Black River a few years ago, there was a boat that was putting little yellow ball looking things about the size of a pea, in the water and the next day there was little lamprey laying all over on top the water most were 3-4.5 inches long, I was floored as to how many of these little bastards were floating, I mean thousands!!
  13. Thats exactly what I did!! You won't find a cheaper way to fly unless someone gives you a set.... Sent from my LG-M327 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I surely get where your coming from Gill, some of those swamps-bogs I couldn’t even imagine crawling through to track a deer, plus they are so huge you’d never find the track on the opposite side, so through the thick will be your only choice. One other thing is you better have paid attention in Boy Scouts on how to read a compass, gps are useless as there is no service out there. I don’t think I’d venture to far off the road if I were to hunt up there!! The minute I saw that moose lake and all those low cut berry bushes, I think I’d take my trusty 300 H&H and do a little scouting it looked like Rt81 for a deer trail, I’d be hard pressed to leave that area!! Thanks for the comments, I wish I would have taken more pics. but was to busy navigating my new pick up through the woods, the Z71 4X4 got a workout that traction control worked super both climbing hills and coming down those hills. One of the best times I had without a boat under my ass!!

maybe that’s what the clowns in Ny do it, up there they have you on video, and are not dressed in a green uniform. Yes it’s the game called “The element of surprises!!, your guilty long before the average looking Joe asking you “How’s the fishing”.There way of doing things is way more aggressive up there.

Every day they counted holes, measured the holes, inspected our baits “no live bait-minnows” yes their presence do make the honest guy nervous but the guys that are taking advantage of the lakes resources will continue on until they are checked out by the law in person!!!
  17. A couple years ago we were going over fish so thick why you’d think you would have to foul hook them, so to check something out we left a rigger set at 65ft. and drove towards a sandy bottom, left the ball down and kept our speed at 2.2-2.4 well we passed the 65’ mark than the 55’ mark and at 45 we started bumping bottom!! So we were fishing 20’ above the fish. So we added 20 foot to the finders depth and left 20’ more cable out, then we started hooking up with some silver fish. I was using a 10’ball. I switched to Harvey’s Troutmans torpedoes in the 12# ones cause I also have mag10’s that really reduced my blow back than I also purchased a Fish Hawk 4xd model and now I just cable out until the Hawk reads the same as the sonar is showing fish at. To me it’s a huge expense but like you I don’t get enough time on the water to figure this blow back business out, plus it gives me speed at the ball which is a big game changer!! With the wicked currents in LakeO it’s nearly impossible to know what’s happening below 50’. PAP
  18. Congrats to your outing!! The lake looks nice also. This year is crazy fishing, 2 year old kings all over the lake, yet the walleye bite is tough one this year!! Charter Capt’s chasing pickerel to satisfy customers?? While the fish we don’t really see until the end of June are here in the east end?? Nice post & great pics!!

lots a big round ladies laying on the ice last winter!! “Chaumont Bay” went to Maine ice fishing, we had to sled 13 miles into the lake, hand drill 6” holes and were visited every day by the long arm of the law, at all different times!! Just saying??
  20. I’ll take the spoons, need them shipped
  21. If you can’t find it, get gunnysargent 12 to paint up a few. I’m still working on my abilities, just ain’t quite there yet.
  22. I have at least 3 that got into my chicken feed!! In a weeks time they carried off 25#’s of my chicken feed
  23. Yea buddy!! Gotta love the pics of the children holding up fish. I know personally that if your looking to get kids interested in fishing the walleye is the last thing I’d be focused on, hell even I get disgusted at times!! Definitely not Erie that’s a fact!! Congrats to your outing and spending time kids in the outdoors!!! PAP.
  24. I’d take the spoons, but I’d need them shipped??
