  1. Man your quick buddy!!! I was just ready to hit send when I saw a notification, read yours pretty much word for word so just hit delete!! LOL. Speaking from experience your 100% right.!!!!
  2. The lower unit is the big $$ cost if you can’t do it yourself, I got it down to 30mins off just saying 45mins on sometimes they like to give you a little shyt, going on. The water pump I put a new one on, if they ran dry for a little time they heat the body up, then the stainless steel cup the impeller spins in isn’t directly centered and eats impellers, so I just put a new whole unit on. Like mentioned above most is labor same as the auto industry, if the “BooK” says it should take 2 hrs and the job only took 45mins, guess how much labor you’ll pay?? I’ll leave it at that!!!
  3. I've used 30# Power Pro for years and to me that's the cats meow!!! One of the reasons I went with the power pro is Mark Romanack, it's the same dia as or close enough to the 10# mono so you can get close to the same results buy using the precision trolling info. I've found that I can use a number 10 spro swivel rated at 35# to connect my 25ft of Seagar florocarbon in 20# for eyes and a number 8 spro rated at 50# to connect 40# Seagar floro for kings in the fall. The 10 spro will fit through the eye of any pole and any line guide on reels, the #8 will fit all rods but not all reels I adjusted the line guides a little to allow the #8 to follow through with no problems. Some will argue it's hard on the line guides but the only line guide it really touches it the tip guide and most are metal or ceramic so there's little to be concerned about and reeling your fish to the boat verses handling 10-25ft of line by hand is ludicrous to me?? $120.00 for a 3000 yard spool that has completed my many, many reels, and one line can complete all my needs with minimal hazards. Untill they come out with something else that covers the broad spectrum of my fishing needs I'm sticking with the PP. one other thing is you can get more than sufficient amount of line on any reel, because it's 10# test diameter.
  4. Thanks I had 18 in total with pairs in different diving depth and 4 in the blue/silver. They did one hell of a job I might add in a very timely manner also!!
  5. Thats why I went with a split ring so they stand up right and swing back naturally shorter amount of line needed for the tattle tail to operate which is no big deal. They set up the same way as a blacks release does, then the board swings back on one of those pin clips, just have to make sure the line is behind the pin. Then you fight the fish not the board and the fish 150ft to the boat remove the board now you fight the fish, with the release you get to fight the fish the whole distance. If you don’t have the pin clips I wouldn’t recommend this as you’ll be chasing your boards around the lake. I haven’t lost a board since switched to the pin pad.
  6. Just thought I'd share some pics of Lures I had painted by Hooked Lures
  7. I used a big split ring so they stand up. I wasn't sure how the release was going to react to being in the laying down position??
  8. Sometimes those through hull fittings leak with age to the boat. If it has those plastic round fitting on the outside they need to be tightened or sealed. Just a thought as I had this happen to me and the water came out the drain hole also.
  9. I thought a couple years back I questioned this as I’m a walleye guy but my second choice is smallies, I was told on here buy a well known person that shut my doors about speaking up about such activities, his words were that the state passed a catch & release program for bass cause there’s literally an abundance maybe not on LakeO but elsewhere?? I can personally tell you that I come up with my buddy who is a semi pro and he’s even bytching that the bass fishing is down in numbers big time!! This practice that folks are doing is creating big time effect on the bass, due to the above posters reasons. I’m with ya on this one Kevin, I sure hope what I was told isn’t so??
  10. I’ll take all 3 for $45.00 that’s a steal!!
  11. Keep your head up!! and chase your dreams, that looks nasty by far, but I’ll trade ya bodies any day!! Don’t need to get into details, but your mind is a powerful tool!!! I’d erase that mind set and put a more positive I can do this even better now!! I know what not to do LOL shyt happens everyday to a lot of people including me and I wasn’t going to let my accident debilitate my hobby that I love so much!! and you shouldn’t either, get out there and give em hell man!!! PAP
  12. I’m not sure of the year the info below is what the son is using 97 with 150hp doesn’t coincide with the 125hp on the fathers boat for sale
  13. YEEOOWW, that is a sweet looking ride!! Congrats to your rebuild!!! To the above Starcraft owner it’s going to be way to much work to rebuild her, so I’ll give you a grand for the boat today you stole that boat, I have the same motor in a Larson, you can drain that unit 15 minutes. I use it around home on local lakes and pull the girls on water skies or 4 girls on our big tube. They are powerful and durable gas sipping motors!!
  14. Ha Ha yea I agree, I’ll wait a 30-60 seconds rather than have rods tips ripped off because in the heat of the moment you didn’t notice a loop around the rod tip or a reel you didn’t throw the clicker arm back, and snapp’O man I hate seeing a $250 probe bouncing off the boom. I set my auto stop at the water surface on my mag 20’s Take care my friend!!
  15. Well maybe I didn’t read and see it right on there site they did show a slipping clutch and then there was no hand near the on-off switch and the rigger stopped at the spring?? I just assumed it was showing the auto stop?? You could be right but I’m only saying what I saw on their site. I saw on a utube video they show a slipper clutch.
  16. I have been watching these riggers evolve and they are second to none compared to any rigger out there, they can lift 100# no problems, and they can do it with agility, even stop 100#’s 1” from the floor, and lift a 20# weight with a 6’6” boom!! Yes they have a auto stop that is sweet with a spring to cushion and activate the auto stop. The biggest factor to me is they aren’t so damn fast like all the other riggers out there. I have no clue why these companies went with this asinine thought, even at 200’ of cable you can’t wait a minute till the ball comes up then then maybe you need to see a doctor and ask for some Ritalin pills. These are by far the best riggers the market has seen. I hope they can keep their prices in the working mans price bracket. I have used cannon riggers, and 4-5 other brands, and the riggers I like the best are the Invaders, I bought in the spring, their technology in these riggers are a dream in most of the units out there. They would still be in business to this day if there wasn’t 3 brothers and the father that passed away, and the two other brothers weren’t fishermen and thought the rigger business bringing over a million$$$ a year wasnt worth the multi million$$$ they were bringing in in the automotive industry. Sad!! I really should sell the 3 sets of riggers I have collecting dust. LOL
  17. Fish nut, once you get the hang of the air brush, which I bought a Iwata, it’s a touch above the middle of the road. Once you get the hang if what needle to use and the different air pressures to use it’s not that technical as long as your in the general area of the air pressures your good. I’m still to slow because I’m the type if it’s not what I wanted then I get disgusted quick, then you might as well put everything away!! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  18. I think there pretty cool!! Bass guys will like them!!!
  19. Thanks guys I was really happy with that one. I have more failures that good ones. I will definitely swim this one!! I’ll post a pic with this lure IF it lands a fish guys, but I’m far from being productive, it takes me to long to do just 1!! But it’s something I enjoy doing!! PAP.
  20. Nine time out of ten either the brush holder got hot and a brush is just making contact or you stressed the armature and now it’s out of balance not in weight but those copper bars when run on a armature analyzer will show a swing in the continuity, this make for a amp pull and usually trips a breaker. I’d pull the motor they are simple and then you can see where it heated up and maybe a simple fix.
  21. This is my best paint job since I started!! Sent from my LG-M327 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Was the motor locked into place when you left the motor on, unable to slip the clutch??
