  1. My son and I fished with John on Saturday, never had met him before the Oak open. He posted on here looking for an observer, and luckily I answered the post, it was a great decision. Pre fished for two days before the open with him he allowed me to stay at his place and couldn't have made me feel more welcome. He invited me and my son to fish last week with him. Had a great time both times I have fished with him and hopefully will be back up for the next leg.
  2. Haven't been out last couple days,so it might have totally changed but over the weekend it was 48.5 down 65-70.
  3. They don't make flea flicker anymore.
  4. It's been tough to boat a keeper up there this year. Been up a bunch of times this year and haven't done much.Last year I pounded nice fish up there. Plenty of people up there will give you some help. I've taken most of my fish in the 10-12 ft range. Every thing from worm rigs to jr thundersticks, flicker shads (jointed) and the rebel crayfish. You see a 14ft blue starcraft that's me give me a shout.

  18. All depends on the day. Believe me not going to take any chances. But if I get the right weather I'm not worried. Man's got to know his limitations. I got caught in my 20 footer out at the Galloos about 20 years ago and that gave me some pucker factor.
