  1. This is Good info, much appreciated. From 220 fow in to 60 fow the temp was pretty consistent on surface. . There was a scum line we went through in about 150 but we never fished with it simply went through it on the way in. When we were in 220 there was one boat out deeper but we decided to do a south troll and unfortunately, maybe , stuck to the game plan Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. If you trolled out of sandy this morning don't beat yourself up. We trolled 630 till 1130 and produced one laker in 220 fow on a dipsy out 220. We had decent screens around 175 fow making Alot 60 to the bottom but only took the one shot. That fish came in 39 degree water. We trolled south all the way in to 40 fow marking sporadic at best with one other release that came un buttoned as fast as got excited. We ran three riggers, two dipsy, one 200 copper, and a crankbait on a planer board. Went through every color, spoon size and color, flasher flies, etc. when we got to launch couple other boats caught one Less fish than our one fish. Now there will be someone who crushed them today but ide like to think today they just weren't hungry. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Just ordered 1000' of 45lb blood run copper. I went to by their braid but their out of stock until their new 65lb line is ready. I was going to purchase 65lb power pro spectra, What do you think? Bought swivels for connections and planning on 30 lb fluro leader (50 feet?) 6. Headed out at 2 to fish toward shipbuilders like Saturday. When we cleared the piers it was mud everywhere to east. With no idea where to head we spot to braddocks where we set up in 20 fow on a north troll (couple charter guys were along side me and kept running father west). Looked like Yankee Troller). Picked up steelhead in 30fow on rigger 15 down. As me got to 40 dipsy with flasher and fly took a small laker. Then the hr lull and in 60fow bottom rigger fired with another laker. We spun back around headed back in with one more Steelie in the 30's. Although we kept my nephew busy, I was beyond frustrated. Saw Alot good reports this morning, and I struggled to get a rhythm. Like to hear others reports near bradocks this afternoon. Should I have pounded in the mud east of the piers? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. In my head I've had better success on browns in shallow and steelhead up high with the p-line copolymer line. It's thinner, strong (ties nice), less stretch, invisible. Deep riggers never seemed to matter, done great with 25lb McCoy. 100% fluro I've not been happy with , stiff, and weak knots (I've tried every knot). 18. I've.had great luck with P- line so far, it's the releases beating them up I wasn't sure about. I tie a trilene knot and knock on wood no failures yet. My deep riggers I'll stick with McCoy mean green but the high riggers are getting the P-line. Thanx for the opinions. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Wondering if any spools there reels with P-line in a mist green color. Going to set up my reels with 15lb P-line for all my hi riggers (steelhead). I've been running it in spring for browns (flat lines) and seem to like it. Didn't know if it would be fine in the rigger releases time after time. 21. I don't know. Ide check out the tributary reports. I've never tried it but off Hamlin beach and Genny piers i see guys casting away. Tributaries guys are tight lipped though. We did pull fish out of 5 fow though so there in tight to shore Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Just small coho. Hooked up with it when we were swinging around. Outside board was in the clear water and he grabbed a black and silver split body rapala. Browns have been typical 4-6lb and biggest in last two trips was 10 lbs. Friday Saturday Sunday looks nice so Saturday we're hitting up braddocks around 2 for couple hrs then going to 40-50 fow for lakers . Should be Alot boats out there I would think Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. First thing in the morning had a nice line in 8-10 fow. 37-39 degrees in the clear water and In the mud was 41-42 degrees. By noon the wind was blowing hard and the mud line was in 5-6 fow. Looks like the lake is rough through Thursday so Saturday afternoon well be back at it. I wanted to fish near braddocks but with the waves we stayed close to home. E trolled 2/3 way their then trolled back to sandy. Just enough action to keep you busy setting lines Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Wunderground is very accurate. I'll always look at night before and night after waves and wind directions also to be as accurate as possible. This time of year I fish a14 foot aluminum. So today was 1-3 which is sketchy. But last night was 1 foot or less so I felt comfortable I would have time to get out if 3 footers showed up. Today was perfect we fished in 1-2 footers and by noon like they said 3 footers were their and we packed up with our fish and left Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
