  1. Trolling bags are made of heavier material and have reinforcing webbing throughout while a drift sock does not. Drift socks are meant to do just that, drift. A trolling bag is way heavier to withstand the constant tugging from the motor, waves, etc. Amish outfitters and big papa are probably the most popular. Not a plug, bit I run two 36" big papa's on my 22' WA and they hold up and allow me to troll down pretty well.
  2. Just be aware there is a difference between a drift sock and a trolling bag. Many people make that costly mistake. Drift socks will not hold up to extended trolling.
  3. I have a vertical boat lift I would sell for $1400. Rated to 2600lbs. I had a 19' wellcraft cc on it with no issues. You can fudge a couple hundred on them if you need to. You know where to reach me if interested.
  4. Good deals on eBay on double and triple trees. No name brand but solid with a rotating base and all.
  5. Good deals on eBay for the Okuma classic pro 8'6" combos.
  6. Still available. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Chas, thanks. Moving up, hopefully. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Sorry. Asking $13k. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. For sale: A 22' walkaround cuddy with a 2001 Mercury 125 two stroke. Motor runs very well and only had ethanol free fuel with Seafoam added in occasionally last season. Canvas salon enclosure was redone in 2008 and is in good shape. All of the zippers are in good shape. New last year were a fresh tune up of motor, impeller, digital float switch on the bilge pump, swim platform w/ 3 step ladder and fenders/lines package. Included with the sale will be the Lowrance LMS-520c combo unit, a vhf radio, double tree rod holders, danforth anchor with a long line and a very nice Escort single axle trailer. Trailer has rollers in front and bunks in the back, making it very easy to load and unload. Current reg. in hand. All lights work on boat and trailer. This boat has been very good to us on eastern Lake O, with many trips out to the Galloos and Henderson w/o a single problem. It has served the family well on play days too. Boat is currently wrapped up in Cape Vincent, NY. I can be contacted by PM, or by calling 315-778-3526. Matt
  10. To answer your question about trolling, I have an '01 Merc 125 with the same feature. It trolls very well with a pair of sea anchors hung off the side of the boat. It would probably go slow enough without the anchors, but I run them so I can run a little higher rpm's, but still only two cylinders. Never a sign of fouling the plugs all spring and summer. A kicker might be beneficial, but not entirely necessary. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Went out to the Galloos targeting bass and saw a few boats trolling with boards. Were these taken out of that area? Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. If they ate willing to go the Henderson area, Sunken Treasure Charter is the way to go for walleye. Capt. Gene Bolton knows his stuff, especially walleye. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Warm soap and water to clean it up, and then Pledge. Works real nice. Just make sure whatever you use does not have alcohol in it. It degrades the plastic. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Galloo, that is. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Went out to Little Gallop and only caught a few small small mouth. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Geno, good work. Doesn't surprise me a bit to see you getting fish when everyone else is drying up. I hope to find some this weekend.
  17. Jason, I am interested. I am out of Watertown and want to try and set something up. I have also PM'd you. Let me know.
  18. Yeah. I have been watching those threads. Those record fish make this one look like a baitfish.
  19. We thought we had a real nice walleye on until this thing appeared. Fun to fight though.
  20. Nice. Was thinking about a cyphen or pump.
  21. Thanks part that sucks most about hauling fuel in 5 gallon cans is the new "spill-proof" nozzles on all new containers. They should call them "patience-proof." Slow and infuriating.
  22. On the water at five. Only put two walleye in the boat by 12:00, with a random small mouth mixed in. Black River Bay was slow too for the short time we were there.
  23. Yeah, my son and I were out there until the wind blew us off our troll.
  24. So hit or miss out there, not to mention the never ending wind blowing you all over the bay.
