I'm happy with my helix 9. It is the mega scan with down and side imaging which I use for multie species and lakes and rivers. I believe last poster is kinda correct about it being useful for salmon on lake o, but early in the season (even now) there are salmon ,browns ,Lakers shallow. May be useful late in the season as well when fish are in closer staging. My helix can do more than I'm capable of unless my kids help me. But big screen is nice. How long have you had the scottys ? Any problems or warranty issues?

Im in the market for new downriggers . I thought I had it narrowed down to cannon or scotty, but the magnum metalz downrigger really have my attention. Wanted to get some input and pros and cons if anybody is willing to share? Back a bit there was some discussion on the magnum metalz but it died off . Maybe this is a ford/chevy argument but would like to hear your thoughts. Thank you in advance, Chuck
