  1. More days than I like to admit that I never had a hit and all I came back to port with was my dick in my hand. So sounds to me like you had a pretty good morning 🌞
  2. OMC outboards are notorious vdor this Check for spark in all cylinders . Does it have 3 carbs ? Those power packs have a tendency to go . Along with the coils . If it runs better cool it probably electrical .
  3. " ONLY " has an " abismal" 12 fish on in a mornings fishing " . Wow
  4. What I am looking for is down speed and temp . I don't care how I get it . I had an X4 and liked it , I have a Cannon Speed and Temp and when it worked I liked it . I have read on here problems with Fish Hawk probes . 400$ + replacement . 11Oo for new unit . Depth Raider is 600 , replacement probe 275 . I have heard of no problems with their probes . So from a value perspective , the depth raider sounds like the best bang for my fishing buck . I have talked to people who have owned both and good things .
  5. Weather / wind was good for the most part , a lot of fishable days . Nice green water where I was Marked lots of fish and bait . Never took a hit above 50 ft and I think we had around 50 hits . Although I set lines there and moved them deeper . All fish came 50 to 100 ft down .
  6. So my new to me boat came with a Cannon Speed and Temp . Worked great and now it doesn't . I played with it a while and I'm done with it . I had an X4 on my old boat and liked it , $ 1100 new . My Cannon Speed and Temp has depth raider technology . It worked , I was happy with it . 550$ new . Half the price . I'm torn , any thoughts , and where can I get one ?
  7. And really , The Oak , Bald Eagle , or Sandy are all good mid lake , mid/early summer ports to fish out of. Can't go wrong with any of them IMO . Accomodations might be determining factor . Fishing lake wide wasn't great last year .
  8. I heard Sharon fell and was or still is in the hospital . And that she decided to sell and there will be an auction sometime . Disclaimer, I'm not sure how truthfully any of this is . It's very sad . I have been going there since the begining of time . I remember Mr Narburg and that nice old dog . I had many great discussions about things with Sharon. I wish her the very best and thank her for serving the fishing community . Hopefully the tradition lives on .
  9. I agree somewhat with Legacy . Set the release at home and grab the line and pull on it like you think a fish would till it releases hard . Bounce it a little . The strike will set the hook .
  10. With my trailerable boat my son and I got in and went to Wilson , like, seemingly ,everyone else . Opening day we got out early to see an Armada . We started in 60 ft. Nets were flying everywhere . Ours started to also . We wound up that day with 11 salmon , for about 16 hits . Biggest was maybe 16# no skippers Best was a Stinger Stingray NBK parked at 52 ft . 11 o'clock it shut down . Went back Sun and did 4 salmon for about 6 hits . It was a tough bite . Never saw a net fly in another boat . East wind /rain finally drove us in . No one spoon did it . Following Fri went back .Did 12 salmon I think for about 15 hits . Stingray glo green alwive off rigger was hot till a nice king wrapped the line around the hook and broke off , glo frog mag and 28 were best . Slide divers were the man after Sun came up . Sat we decided to try our old stomping grounds in front of Johnsons Creek from the Oak .We drove right up there to see one other boat . Then I thought I was back at Wilson with the traffic . We did 15 I think for about 18 hits , Salmon and some hog Lakers . That green alwive I replaced at rt 18 tackle and black Lazer glo were best . Around 1130 they turned on and the slide divers took most of the hits . In 4 days fishing we did about 4O fish which I am satisfied with . If you are hitting your target species , it's just a matter of getting a big one . My down speed crapped the bed the first day so I only had surface speed the entire derby . I made it work . Love my slide divers . Congratulations to the winners . Here are the spoons that did it .

  14. I would imagine Undermount sinks on granite countertops are attached by silicone only . I have had to remove a few and you would think they were bolted on .
  15. Sure looked like a shotgun to me . And I got a good look
  16. So I went down to look at a job on Lake Rd about a 1/4 mile east of Pt Breeze . One of those houses on South side of Rd with the lake across the street . I hear gunshots . I look out the front door and right across the street there is a DEC boat about 200 ft off shore with a guy standing up shooting at the cormerants flying everywhere . The lady said this is the first day she saw them .
  17. Clean the bottom good with mineral spirits and stick the bilge with silicone or epoxy . That's what I would do .
  18. I have been watching the level come up drastically the last month . I think it came up 6 " in 2 weeks .
