  1. Get the biggest screen you can get in your budget. I would also recommend getting one with a chart plotter gps. And maybe the card to go with it so you have the topography of the lake. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. That’s huge!!! Wow. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. The way I do it is 20 feet of 50# mono then 1000 feet of wire, then I fill the reel with 50# braid. Then I hook my braid to another reel ( the same size) and reel it on. Use the drag on the first reel to keep it tight. The 20 feet of 50 # mono is to make deployment and storage of your wire rods easer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. I’m sure they do. As for me, my freezer is pretty empty this time of year. I will usually keep my fish for the first few trips until I get some in the freezer. When I’m not practicing catch and release I practice catch and eat. Lol. Never hurts to take a few. ( save some alewives ) [emoji39][emoji39] Good catch. 10. I hunt in a similar spot. I won’t say the deer never saw a human but I’d bet they could count them on one hand. Lol. We hunt bear there and have killed 18 black bears in 8 Years. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I used one of these for every body of water I fished when I used a hand held gps without mapping, I use to mark all the fish I caught with my gps and when I got home I would log them on my map. after a few years you get a pretty good pattern of where and when to catch fish. now with the new chart plotters they are almost obsolete. I don't track on a paper map ant more. I do have several that I plan to frame and hang in my man cave. they are pretty cool.
  12. Musky???? How big was this fish? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. I see this a lot with guys new to big boards. its usually easy to fix you just have to adjust your connection point on your planer.
  16. 450.00 $ that’s for everything?? Wish I had a need for it. That’s a great price. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. It shouldn't be that bad the aluminum lund's I believe all have aluminum stringers so when you remove the old floor don't smash it out so you can use it as a pattern. and be sure to seal all the new flooring, both sides and edges and any holes you have to put in it.
  18. mine came on when I installed new battery's, I had the hi voltage alarm set at 13 volts. I changed it to 14.5 volts and its been fine ever since.
  19. what ever color you chose I would get LED lights they use half the energy of a standard bulb. I replaced all the lights on my boat over the winter to LED's , now im drawing about half the amps with all my lights on as I was with just my underwater lights on.
  20. You know I listen to a lot of guy complain about their boards not pulling out to the sides hard enough. I don't think they realize that if the boards pull out at 90 degrees there lines are only going to go half way down to the board. the goal is not to get your boards out at 90 degrees. you want them as close to 45 or 50 degrees so your lines run down to the planers. if there at 70 to 90 they are pulling way to hard, your lines will only go half way out and cause a bow in the line and stop. ( its kinda like running a cheater on a rigger, it will only go half way down). just my thoughts.
  21. Give me a date and I’d be willing to take a vet or 2 fishing for a day. Would be my pleasure. I’m no charter captain but I’m sure if the fish are willing we could pull a few over the gunnels. I’m in. [emoji14] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Ps. 1oz of lead will be about 7 feet down at 2.0 mph. With a light spoon. At 3.0 mph it’s only about 4 to 5 feet down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. When I’m trolling for Browns in the short water with braided line I use a 1oz. Weight between the braid and floro leader, then my spoon. For stick baits on braid I don’t use any weight in the short water. But u do use floro leaders. My leaders are 1 rod length. For Browns and walleye I use 12lbs For coho and steelhead I use 20lbs. For kings I’ll use 30lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
