  2. Wow, congrats Bob and other winners. Nice fish!
  3. Just curious. Anybody have a pic of the final results?
  4. Bear had almost 60 entrants when I stopped there earlier this afternoon. The more the merrier! And he's got some killer deals on lures over there.
  5. Gonna be a fun one, tomorrow! Good luck to everybody.
  6. Wondering if it might be possible to sign up and pay the entry fee at the flta meeting 8/8? I won’t know til early next week if i can fish, but I hope to.
  7. Originally both derbies were scheduled for next weekend, but Bear moved the Barney Baldwin memorial derby to a week earlier, this weekend. The 2nd annual Margeit memorial tournament is still next weekend.
  8. Saturday, August 4th https://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/73858-barney-baldwin-one-day-entry-form/
  9. Anyone hear at the weigh-in if Bear mentioned the August derby? Just wondering if it is, in fact, 1 day, Saturday Aug 11th as I had heard a couple of months ago?
  10. My pleasure lakerchaser. Good luck to you.
  11. It is a little confusing until you do it but I tried to explain as clear as possible. Still a bit of a pain, but this way is definitely more direct than the Cornell detour.
  12. Getting back, is a little different getting through Ithaca. Ithaca never makes it easy! Once you make it to Hudson St. though, it is the same. Getting to Hudson on the way back... the normal way without construction would be to take Fulton St. to a left on Green St. (79 East) but instead, go past Green and take Fulton (stay in left lane across Rt. 13) to Clinton St. Take Clinton St. past the Police Department and shortly after, turn right on Aurora St. Then, take your next left onto Columbia St (very small street, if too small for your rig, you can take the left after that). Then, your next right is Hudson St. (becomes Coddington). Then everything is the same from there. Coddington all the way out to a left on Burns Rd., then a right on 79 East.
  13. Yes, still under construction. Here's an easier way around than the Cornell route... Traveling west on 79, turn left on Burns Rd. and then right on Coddington Rd. Coddington will take you all the way into Ithaca. It eventually becomes Hudson St. and you can take that til it ends then a right on Aurora St. (pass the commons) and your next left (Seneca St.) puts you back on 79. You still go through Ithaca, but it's better than the Cornell route.
  14. Thanks Sk8man and lakerchaser! Much appreciate it. Yeah, I've had some 72's get completely flattened/straightened out recently from some fish on Cayuga. They sure are delicate spoons for fiesty fish!
  15. I know this is an older post, but hey Sk8man I was hoping you could tell me what size Mustad Siwash SS 9510xxx hooks you used for the Suttons? I have some that I'd like to replace the treble hooks on with single hooks. Thanks, once again!, for any info.

  17. Anyone know if there's a reason why Ande 40 or 50 pound might work better than another brand of 40 or 50 pound?
  18. Interested... do you have any pics of condition and sizes?
  19. Happy 4th to all. Just thought I'd mention I also saw a lot of BG algae last night just south of T-Falls. Large areas of it. Hope it passes soon.
  20. I'd guess the fish are a bit in shock from sudden extreme heat, after many weeks of relatively slow, very gradual rising temps.
  21. I fished near Taughannock a few times this week, and it's been pretty ok until yesterday all of a sudden, fleas. Not too bad, but more and more rapidly each day now in this heat wave. I'm putting thicker line on before I go out again.
  22. Just starting to see them. The past few years when the surface temp hits around 70 they get bad... could be next week.
  23. That would be great. Should work both ways... weigh in at Myers or Seneca Sportsman Club for both events. I think it should all probably be discussed with Bear asap to have a good chance of him being into it and making it all workout. Not sure how he'll feel about it.
  24. Now I'm getting excited for a double derby/tourney. Same lake, hey why not?
