Air brush

So I got an Air brush for Christmas . 

 

I know nothing about what paints and how to use it . 

 

Any insight and tips ,recommendations would be appreciated .

Practice on paper until you learn how the airbrush reacts and paints.  With painting, follow cure times or you will spend a lot of time using acetone to start over!  Prep of the surface is key to paint staying on.  Use quality paints and most importantly, clean your air brush well or it will turn into junk quickly.

If don’t have anyone that has experience to sit down with you to show you the basics, I recommend exploring some YouTube tutorials. There’s plenty of useful info on there from paints to use, guns to avoid, and routine maintenance. They will help cut the learning curve.
