Smallmouths issues

I have caught a fair amount of Smallmouths with sores on them 

 

It kind of looks like they were foul hooked but coming out of the lake from winter I would think not . 

 

I hope it isn't VHS again .

Good call. Hopefully they can get someone to check it out.

Last summer I was bent over rinsing something off and a cormerant grabbed at it and hit my thumb. They bite hard, another reason to open a season on them. I wouldn't doubt they make swipes at bigger fish.

No problems seen with fish off Buffalo. First two casts this morning in Small Boat Harbor
