Mexico bay

Has anyone been out and catching browns near shore in Mexico bay?  I’m taking my father out for a couple hours. He’s 80 and is hoping to catch his first Lake Ontario Brow.

I had a decent day yesterday.

 

Fish seem scattered all over the place.

Didnt see much bait until I hit 90fow, which is where most of my fish came from. Trolled from the mouth of salmon river, at a NW heading. Out to 140fow. Fish were down 35-60'. 

 

Typical fishing this time of year. Slow. There's a lot of small fish around. The browns seem different this year, more aggressive. (Sounds like they added some more wild genes to the fish coming out of the Rome fish hatchery)
