Sandy creek deep water?

Has anybody been out in the deeper water off Sandy Creek yet? I was going to take a Milltary friend and his sons out on Sunday but not sure if i should stay in tight or make the run to try for some bigger fish? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks I fished that depth today and got a few lakers from 4pm tp 8 pm one was a nice 18lber !!

Gene I talked with the guy that was pulling his boat as you launched on Sunday and he went all the way to 500 and said it was blank out there
