I use a dulock snap on a bead swivel 8' of 17#flocarbon line then a second dulock on the end of the line. Clip the bead end on your mainline. Spoon on the bear snap and toss it over. It seeks its own depth depending on speed , currents, how tight the main line is. :yes:8)

Direction varies because of the lake currents. If your spoon in running right at 2.5 and your trolling with a 1.5 current your lure speed is 1.0. Lure dosen't work right , no fish. Go the other way now your going 4.0 To fast for that spoon , no fish. Thats what makes the downspeed units so important on the bigger waters. The currents off 9 mile are wicked at times :o:@ This should be over in the question section, maybe one of the MOD. can move it and get you some more answers. 8)
