First time going out EVER in big Lake

Recommended Posts

I am getting my new boat on Friday, and will be wiring in the new electronics, rod holders, etc. Boat is Princecraft 198 Pro SC w/200 Verado & 9.9 kicker

I want to go out and do some trolling for brown or kings or whatever, and just feel out the new toy and get used to it. I have boards etc already

Getting a couple if dipsy rods and a couple of tekoda reels.

Where would be a good general area, and what baits & depth

I live in Hamilton, Ontario

Cheers

In your neck of the woods I'd try Daloussie and Welland areas in waters 5-100 feet deep. Look for temp differences and fish the warmer waters hard. Use stick baits near bottom in shallow with long leads and side planers and spoons out deeper with riggers or dipsies (2-3 setting, 100-250 ft. leads) if marking fish. Maybe someone else can direct you to closer areas to fish. Good luck!
