Cayuga Lake out of Deans Cove

Recommended Posts

Fished out of Deans Cove in FLTA Tournament. Was good to see the guys again, we had a great turnout  . Started a south troll just north of Long Point. Took a few small lakers as we crossed the point. Didn't mark the fish at this location like we usually do at this time of the year. Pulled up for run across to Sheldrake Point where we started a south troll. Ran a ten rod set all day and couldn't keep anything in the water. Rods were firing off with fish as fast as we could get them set. Lots of 5-8 lb lakers and short landlocks. Fish stacked up from 95' out to 200'. Riggers down 35' and 45' with slide cheaters, 150, 250, and 300 copper, wire dipsey divers out 160-220', and 7 and 10 color core all took fish. Green/silver, orange/silver spoons were hot, with a few lakers on flasher and fly's. The fishing is probably the best I have ever seen it on this lake. We easily boated 50-60 fish. The crew kept a few lakers to weigh in and for the grill. Awesome day on the water, with some very nice lakers and silver fish caught by many club members :yes:
