Water fleas on the St Lawrence

The last two times I fished the St Lawrence I had a lot of problems with water fleas on my line. Did hit a 24" eye and 8 bass this morning but the fleas were the worst I've ever seen them. Never saw them here until about 3-4 years ago Wish the Boarder Patrol had kept them out of the US!

They have been killer on Lake O. Just picked up some flea flicker line by cortland so hopefully that solves the problem for us. Going back out again tomorrow to test it out.

Another popular work-around is to splice a section of 30# Big Game into your setup so that's what's in the water hitting the fleas. Search "Water fleas" for the details.

I'm long lining 10lb braid with deep diving cranks for walleyes and don't really have a solution to that set up.
