WOT rpm question = replaceing prop

Recommended Posts

i've read all the old post, but still have a question...I hit a boulder and need to replace my prop, I bought the boat second hand and don't know if this was factory or someone changed it

I want to put the same prop back on 14X17...motor 2000, 70hp, johnson

the plate on the side of the motor does not have a WOT rpm... just a idle RPM 800

with the current prop it runs 5,500RPM WOT does this seem rite

I love the way it performs with this prop, however I don't want to over rev the motor

thanks in advance

Paul
