Lake Trout depth?

Recommended Posts

Heading out of I-Bay on Saturday morning hopefully to put my father in-law on some fish. It is has birthday and he doesnt fish much or have the patience to. i figured I would hit the mouth of the Genny early for some combat fishing but if that doesnt produce I would like to put him on a few lakers.

Earlier this summer I would run cowbells/peanuts on the bottom from shipbuilders to bear creek in 130-150 and have very productive days. This time of year have they moved?

Only have 1/2 a day so starting in the right depth would be a big help.

Thanks and tight lines

Terry

Lakers have been sitting around the 80-120 mark. Use your temp sensor cause the water column has been all over the place but if you can find 48* or less they will be there moving around the bottom 10-15. We did very well on any Green spoons we put down there and they were the biggest lakers of the year for me so far. Our biggest was 25# and smallest was 17# so get ready for some arm burners. Good Luck
