Small Boat Harbor should still be open for a launch (I know they were last year) but you might want to check that first since the new outfit took over.

Also, if you're fishing the Upper, watch where the Canadian border is.  It doesn't go down the middle of the River.

Thanks fir the help. we only caught 2 bass but managed to pull in a 28 in. Musky which was a nice surprise. Two fronts moved through that day which didn't help. We also went last Sat and got skunked but we didn't realize the river would be that stained and flowing as fast as it was oh well we know what to look for before we go next time. The water temp was 54 We were marking a lot of fish and the structure looks great in there. Can't wait to get out there and pull a few more fish before the end of the year

Hey all - plan to hit Cayuga next week sometime - just started trolling with dipsys - hooked into 4 on Canadaguia today - finally broke our skunk! Anyhow, I have spoons already - as I said new to trolling - flasher / flies - any suggestions on what to bring to Cayuga? Salmon would be fun or lakers, or really anything - would be running them behind dipsys. Something I could pick up at field and stream would be great - I don't know all the trolling lingo - so links or pics would be great

    • Cayuga color advice

Hey guys, I know this topic has been covered but I have to ask. I was fishing this morning early. I wasnt planning on keeping anything but I had a 5 pound laker tangle with my downrigger cable at the surface. He wasnt going to make it, so I kept him. This was up my sheldrake. The lake is still a greenish color, but I got him right on bottom in 80ft of water. Do you think he's safe to eat? I dont want to waste it. I was going to freeze it first, then either smoke it, or grill it.   What

    • Thanks for the advice on Cayuga

Last month I was asking for advice on where to put in a kayak on Cayuga for lake trout fishing. Because of the replies I ended up putting in at Sheldrake. Great advice. I found lakers in no time. A little bit of trial and error I was able to tie into 4 fish of which I brought two home for the smoker. Funny thing is I went yesterday to Canandaigua lake to get a few perch for supper. The lake was so still that I went out into the deep and tied into another 4 Lakers and brought two home for the smo

    • Seneca/Cayuga Advice

Hi folks! Well it’s been another year since I last posted and likewise I last visited the area. My trip went well last year. I only fished Seneca and despite coming a week or two after the flood we still managed some good catches between storms.   I have been following everyone’s reports so thank you everyone. That’s said, I had a few questions I was hoping someone might be so kind as to answer.   Setback from ball and ball type? Any thoughts? I will be bringing sharks both black and silv
