East of I Bay. Sunday am 6-24

Good morning fishing with my buddy Larry Hammond and my daughter.

 

Lo and behold, the Cold water were found inside east of ibay. 42 degrees down 30’ over 40-60 fow!! Without the net, what would you do to bring the fish on board? After several attempts I was able to grab the brown lips and release it safely.

 

The only thing that was in our way of fishing were thick flies.

 

Tons of top water debris with bugs and swimming fish on top of them!

 

We did 2 browns and 2 skipper kings. All took spoons mixed veggie. Sea sick waddler off rigger and diver.

 

We finished before 10 am to escape the black flies madness!!

Sounds like you were right on top of a temperature break scum line. you could probably have done some great fly fishing for browns and steelies right there.

You can lift Browns, bows, Kings by the tail, it won’t fold up.

Great report! Beauty of a brown! I usually trim that tickler off the terminal end... maybe I don't have too!? Can't wait to get drilled by those flies! Lol! Thanks for the report!
