plenty of places up north all these places probably have more by now and many should be over 6 by the weekend after xmas.

sandy pond and lakeview had quite a few out fishing this past week-end 12-20 and 21.

I drove by the Northeast corner of I-Bay yesterday afternoon. It looks frozen over but no signs of anyone having been fishing it. I'm likely going to check the ice tomorrow afternoon in anticipation of going out on Wednesday AM.

Has anybody been to Otisco or any of the small fingerlakes?

i doubht Otisco has any fishable ice on it yet. all that rain last weekend really put the dampner on things down here. although the last day or two has been good and cold.

i was also up to Lakeview this past Tuesday and there were a few guys out fishing, ice looked so so, but it was holding up to the kids playing football around their dad who was trying to fish. I also didn't notice him catching anything either.

Lemme drive down and take a look.

Checked the northeast corner. No signs of anyone having been out fishing. Some footprints going out a few feet to check though. I went a few feet out beyond that and it seemed thick but soft. Didn't bring a spud bar. The only open water I saw was right at the outlet.
