Another good morning on the SLR. 5 for 5 on Black Bass (smallies) from 3.5lbs to a whopping 6.4lb pig!!! Nate's largest Bass ever. 2 for 2 for record bass for other guys( Nick and Nate) both rod hogs ! LOL!! Great fun nothing like a Small Mouth Bass from the St Lawrence.

Nice looking fish! we also bass bass fished this morning and didn’t have quite as much size but we had the numbers and caught around 15 plus a bonus walleye around 19”. caught a few around 4 pounds and one pushing 5 pounds. it was a cold morning and had to bundle up until the sun got up to warm things upF1C85A5D-9CF7-496A-8602-5EAC84333F55.thumb.jpeg.d91f3a3fc2725433d916e35d94b0a9b5.jpeg4569DF1C-929D-4809-B03A-DE71FD771A84.thumb.jpeg.bada8b8109b9438444d784abbce9a378.jpeg89CA1D02-37D9-43D4-96E2-AE2FC783F5CF.thumb.jpeg.c0f60ea63c50c26e646fe0af892b36ef.jpegE1B54086-98F0-47B5-8624-64500CACF236.thumb.jpeg.1bbac94e22ac978e4e0b90adfb4e0a35.jpeg

Nice fish! Heading up to Clayton area all next week. Would you mind sharing roughly what depth we should start looking for smallmouth this time of year? We're normally only there once a year in mid-July. Thanks!

25-35 has been productive, i don’t have much confidence fishing deeper because i’ve never really had success that deep but any of the shoals typically hold fish.
