  1. Where are you located? And what model are they off?
  2. I'm not sure yet Ray. I'll let you kn in the next couple of day's. Thing are gettin a bit busy up here. Sping Fever if ya kn what I mean. I'll give ya a call.
  3. Chinook: When Joe came out with them in the early 80's they were and still are a great spoon. Not sure how many or what pattern your looking for. But I have a lot of them still in the package and some used. I still run my favorite's but if you don't tweek em a bit you can't run em much over 2 - 2.3 down with out spinnin em. Put the ol thumb trick to em and you can run em right up there.
  4. Simrad. Not a complaint with the one's I've installed & good customer service alto I haven't put any hyd. units in yet. Just cable steer. New install or replacing older Sport Pilots.
  5. Bob: Kinda sounds like he is. Not a bad thing I guess. He'll see what you ment when he reads some a Ray's posts. Just hope he isn't inta thongs. But a guy that loves ta fish & likes the smell of fish when he gets up in the morning is ok in my book. Welcome Shawn: There a lot of good people here, much info to read and share, and a lot of jokin around.
  6. Ray I'll get right on it after I get all the ice an snow off my roof.
  7. Hoping that's an inside joke. If not there is no room for that kind of reply here.
  8. BoatLIFE: Life Caulk, or a good grade of silicon. But 1st choice is Life Caulk. Hope that helps you.
  9. Cottage Inn. If your around Fair Haven or Port Bay.
  10. Nisson, smaller Mercs and a few others are as Sponge said above made by Tohatsu. They are an excellent motor and one of the oldest outboard manufactures in the world. Ray I'll keep my eyes open for something used in that range for ya. i have a couple older 9.8's 2 stroke's here but I wouldn't feel comfortable selling for what your going to use it for. Don't discount onlineoutboards I have heard good things about them and the pricing is reasonable.
  11. Slider: It's a safe deal. But remember what Chad & Moto said above. Don't give any info on a simple e-mail message. It'll come back to burn ya. A good friend of mine got caught up that way with scamers.
  12. Just read this. But Squirrel's way is the way to go. All the rubber and tape is no substitute for a solid mount that metal to metal can do when you lock them down.
  13. A 47 will hold 1000' with no problem, with no backing. 57's no problem at all. For the wire I liked the 57 expect the drag's on the older one's. A bit bigger reel but it made up for it in spool capacity as well as the larger handle and gear ratio.
  14. Not going to happen for the rest of this administration. Hopefully after the 1st of next year thing's will change some.
  15. Drag's on the original AccuDepths sucked in plain terms. Gear ratio is great tho for wire set-up's. I haven't used the Plus's yet. So i have no idea if they corrected it or not.
  16. I would say with the new breed of spoons. Stinger NBK. Old breed: September Spoon that a good friend of ours out this way came up with years back. NK 28 plain Blk. White green glow with a strip of pink along the factory tape. Been a main stay for alot of year's especially deeper, but usually good where ever you run it. Forgot one: The Aug. spoon is the same but with a silver cup. Thank Jim Well's (Orange Peel) for that one.

    Burbot

Mike: Is this a test. You kn the difference, you were around back then. A lot of people mistake them for Ling or Dog Fish. http://www.seagrant.wisc.edu/greatlakesfish/burbot.html

    Burbot

Back in the 70's on Oneida when they were plentiful. They were all over the ice. They were considered trash fish by most. It was a waist of a good eating fish as well as a resource. We kept all of our's that we wanted and put the rest back thru the hole, tried to inform others around us to put them back as well if they weren't going to keep them. Most were fishing walleye riggs on bottom. Pimple or jig dressed with spikes or a small buckeye and the burbot came right along with the eye's. Table fare: Can't beet em. Very similar to cod.
  19. Mike & Frank are great people and the best there was at prop's. Hand's down. Was sorry to see it when they sold out. If Mike get's back in it let me kn. Alot of brass & nibrows around that need his expertise.
