  3. Big bugs or little ones :?: :?: :?: What depth :?: :?: :?: Tom B. (LongLine)
  4. SeeF’ – you should have put up a pix of what you ordered & received. Nem’ – I commend your beliefs & Co loyalty however, in addition to a reply I would have told the boss about this thread and given whoever told the customer to “call back tomorrowâ€Â

  6. billyb - How about some shower curtain rings/clips to hold cable to cable? J.A.T. Tom B. (LongLine)
  7. Not a cloud in the sky, very light west wind. Launched at sunup, off when my ears were cooked around noon, East side of the River, 50-105 FOW. Surf temp dropped from 47.5 to 45.5 at 85 FOW with a few logs & a few of those diving birds. Not much color to the water. Deeper water was blue. “Constipationâ€Â
  8. Launched at the river at 5:30. Cool with N’ly wind, maybe 2 footers coming straight up the river. Decided to try the east side this time. Stayed 60-90 FOW. 52F surf, rapid temp change down 24 (47F) to 32 (40F). basically a clean screen all morning. Anyways, here’s my youngest with a couple he got on a 28 seedless melon, both down 31: (Stlhd, 28â€Â
  9. Chuck - Ever do it on the way back to the launch? At dockside? Only means you'd have to stop trolling for a few minutes. You could throw a couple jigs on. When you put it in neutral & goose it, does it blow a lot of smoke? If so, you're getting oil in the cylinder somehow and it has to clear out &/or blow-by. Also are you using fresh gas? Sometimes a "splash" of water from condensation gets into the engine & they run like "crap", but generally clear when rev'd in neutral until the next "splash" gets pumped in. (Plug check really would tell you a lot.) Tom B. (LongLine)
  10. yeah... guess this guy was on the small side... http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... php?t=1332 Tom B. (LongLine)
  11. Chuck - I honestly don't know but where I'd start is to pull the plugs immediately after it "bangs" and examine them for clues. If starving, 1 would be dry. If there's "crap" in there, some would be overly wet or "crapped" up. Tom B. (LongLine)
  12. Launched at the Genny around 6 again. No picture of the sunrise today as it was a no-show this morning. Chilly breeze out of the SW. Heavy overcast w/ low flying clouds. Went off the station to lots of activity in 15-20FOW. Surf temp in close 46F & dropped to 41F past 35 FOW. Took a while to find it, but purple & red seemed to be the color today. Went 3 for 3 on small Browns, 4 or 5 Lbs. All heading east with the wind and right on the bottom. Only interesting pic was this one (that I cut off) This guy had a 6â€Â
  13. FB - Only if you want to. How bout some pics? Tom B. (LongLine)
  14. Yeah turkeys get my attention too, especially when they cut to close to the back of my boat or hold their d'm regttas Tom B. (LongLine)
  15. BBM - If the number of fish were a great as you imply then yes the DEC should have been notified. I'm sure they would've appreciated a photo of what you saw, if possible. It might be a case of a fishkill due to the recent cold then hot sun & shallow water there but probably best to let DEC make that determination. Tom B. (LongLine)
  16. Musky put up a good set in next section: http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... php?t=1259 Tom B. (LongLine)
  17. Thanx Jerry. I hadn't seen that one before. Tom B. (LongLine)
  18. Just read on the front page of the 20 April ed. of Rochester Business Journal: RG&E has decided to reverse its 2003 decision to close Russell Station. They're now saying that they are going to invest in the clean air technology to handle the air pollution. Roughly $500Million. (Wonder if they're going to want my $7.32 share from the sale of Ginna back?) Tom B. (LongLine)
  19. Gots ta keeps dems flies zipped, don'd wants peoples tinking ya useng wrong lures, does ya? Tom B. (LongLine)
  20. Andre, Browns are all along the shore in Central Big-O right now, From Hamlin to Oswego. What's generally been reported here in this section is from out in the lake, not in the bays. If there's a wind from West-SW to East-SE, Braddocks to I-Bay is calm as it's protected from those directions. The county launch on the North end of I-bay has 3 lanes. Early morning all 3 used for launching. A 16 Ft'r shouldn't have any problems in the channel if you stay somewhat towards the west side. The water in I-Bay from the launch to the last markers towards the Bay bridge, in the bay, is only 5-7 ft deep. South of the markers it goes down to 65-70 pretty quickly. I have an 18 ft'r and launch at Charlotte. River is roughly 20 ft deep from the launch to the lake. (except the one sandbar where it comes up to about 8 ft). 4 lanes w/ permanent docks right where the fairy used to park. As long as your boat is in good shape & you stay awake at the wheel, you shouldn't have any problem in either place. H.I.H. Tom B. (LongLine)
  21. Just want to thank all you guys for sharing your efforts/results from a great weekend, all over the lake. Looks like we’re off to a banner year on Big-O. Thanx KingMe, Thanx LOU, Thanx DEC & USGS, Thanx Pen Rearing groups & Thanx to everyone involved with the fishery. Tom B. (LongLine)
  22. I don't know guys. Looks like the water's mixing to me. 4/21/07 4/23/07 Never been my dream to go to Cleveland, but I think it's just west of line "C". But regardless, It's warming up fast. Tom B. (LongLine)
