    Thanks for the replies so far.... SK8man....I have a white floor, and typically dark soles aren't a good thing.....any problems with that?

    I posted this question a year or two ago....still looking.... What do you guys wear on the cold, wet spring days on LO on your feet. I have a couple of great summer shoes, breathable, non-skid....but aren't a good cold wet shoe. Been looking at these....Shimano Evair Deck boots.... Anyone have experience with those? John

    Second on Gambler's recommendation. I've gone to the French River Lodge some 20 times, and every May since 1995. Going again this year. We don't target walleye, as we get our fill here at home...so we fish for northerns. They are really pretty good if you eat them fresh, but we release most. Slot limits there have produced a great class of 18-21 inch fish, and we do get the occasional larger one. I know Gambler is right about the muskie in later summer...but its been a while since I've been there at that time. Most of the time the black flies haven't been bad...enough open spaces.... John

    Looking for any recommendations for a place to grab a bite and brew after the LOTSA show. We came to enjoy Josies in Lockport, and don't really know many places in Niagara Falls. Did see there is a Duffs', and a place called Mr. Greenwalls. Suggestions? John

    Agree, Larry. Early roll on the lake made it tough to get speed....we picked up 4, and 3 steelhead, and dropped a few. Silver bass are getting annoying!

    Silver bass have been horrible this year, for sure. No consistency on what we are getting them on either. Yday, we got fish on 6 different setups. I try to post reports here.....to help out Chad and LOU, but don't always remember. I do keep up do date via my journal on my website. John
