  1. Patriot: There was one in Vermillion OH at a place called Freeman Eckley. Looked at it in January. Overall nice shape, but does have the need for some stringer/transom work. They estimated at 4K. John
  2. High tech usually had that kind of swivel....
  3. Jeb: Which model warrior, if you don't mind sharing? John
  4. opps...forgot about truck....
  5. Also, what if your boat doesn't say charters on it?
  6. Will be interesting to see the next clear satellite photo. Lots of ice moving around since yday by Dunkirk. Lots of open areas.
  7. Shade...reason I was asking is a boat has appeared in the marina recently with the Oak as the home port. You plan on slipping your boat?
  8. Shade: Welcome to Lake Erie. Everyone has their favorite things to run, which you can tell just from these posts. Although I do run worms on occassion, its more often sticks and spoons. We catch fish on riggers, and often they are the biggest of the day. I like to run smaller spoons off those, like the WD's from Dreamweaver, but have also had luck with small chattersticks and regular renoskys. About 45 feet seems good. We ran a lot of core last year...4 and 5 early when we were in tighter, and 6, 7 later on off the boards. Generally run a 10 down the chute...sometimes clean, sometimes with extra weight. Off the side, I like slide divers. Run the lures about 50 feet off the diver. Usually in the 1.7 range on downspeed. One thing I have found, the wider spoons like the Fishlanders or NK28's don't seem to work as well here. We have had much better success with super slims and yecks. And they match up with the bait size too. Is that your boat at Chadwick Bay Marina? John
  9. Channel 7 said 87% the other night, but if you look at current satellite image....lots of open water by Cleveland, and some in Long Point bay. I live on the lake in Dunkirk, and you can see the difference in the color of the ice, and the increase mounds of piled ice. Its moving. 50 degree 3 of next 5 days should help greatly!
  10. Donfeg: Thanks for the pm. Have sent another back. John
  11. The power plant doesn't put out the heat like it used to. Outer harbor was frozen all the way over for much of last 2 months. Opened up some the last few days, and we are starting to see the chucks of ice starting to stack up more offshore..... Lots of dead shad...looks like more than normally, but I suspect its because they have no were to get blown to. We did have a number of duck literally "freezing" to the ice, then they fell victim to the eagles and gulls. I'm told by my duck hunter friends that as a whole they were very underfed.
  12. Site was working fine.....but the phone number just went to voicemail, and no call back.
  13. Googled NK...left message, no reply in several days....does anyone know if the number off the site the right one?
  14. One supposed to be opening in Erie, near Millcreek Mall too.
  15. Bob..keep me in the loop...might be time for a ride again....
  16. Thanks for the replies so far.... SK8man....I have a white floor, and typically dark soles aren't a good thing.....any problems with that?
  17. I posted this question a year or two ago....still looking.... What do you guys wear on the cold, wet spring days on LO on your feet. I have a couple of great summer shoes, breathable, non-skid....but aren't a good cold wet shoe. Been looking at these....Shimano Evair Deck boots.... Anyone have experience with those? John
  18. We always appreciated Joe and Shirley's efforts, and Capt. Bob for trying to keep it going.
  19. Second on Gambler's recommendation. I've gone to the French River Lodge some 20 times, and every May since 1995. Going again this year. We don't target walleye, as we get our fill here at home...so we fish for northerns. They are really pretty good if you eat them fresh, but we release most. Slot limits there have produced a great class of 18-21 inch fish, and we do get the occasional larger one. I know Gambler is right about the muskie in later summer...but its been a while since I've been there at that time. Most of the time the black flies haven't been bad...enough open spaces.... John
  20. Trying to get more pics from seller....sorry for delay......
  21. Check West Marine too. Sometimes they are on special.
  22. Cuttermag: As I said, I listed this for a guy that's not to tech savvy. I can call him in the morning to see if he has anything, or you can call him...sure he'd show it to you. John
