  1. There is tons of food in the North end for the tigers and northerns. The North end is loaded with bluegills all the time.
  2. Sindale, Fish the North end, West side of the lake outside the weedlines throwing spoons, sticks, spinners, or spinnerbaits for pike. If that does not work, troll the deeper edges of any of the points with deep diving cranks for big pike.
  3. My buddy said the weeds never came in that great in Conesus this year. he said the weeds that came in are junk. The bass fishing has been a lot slower on Conesus this summer for most.
  4. Mykey, Do you have the Charters boat name? Someone here can get the message to the Charter Captian if you have it.
  5. All right, Whats your favorite size and color and why? My favorite is the size 3 in glow or bloody nose silver bullet. I like the size 3 because they catch more of the other species along with the Kings. I have only caught kings on the size 4's. I like the glow first light and then the bloody nose once the sun is up.
  6. My vote is opposite hole. Look at a combo in the water next to the boat and see the difference. The fly has way more action on the opposite hole that Yankee Troller and BillyV were talking about.
  7. How about a tourney like KING ME was talking about and a separate summer long Grand Slam type tourney. I think it is a great idea to have the big fish bonus that King Me was talking about. I will vote for the 3 fish format first but would love to see both as separate tournies. I like the grand slam style tourney because it forces you to be a diverse fisherman.
  8. It was not Jax. One of the guys slipped next to me saw you. I had to call Jax to make sure he was not holding you hostage forcing you to fish lakers.
  9. Longline, I was thinking the same thing about the D&C this past weekend. The outdoors section had something boring (I can't remember what). Not a thing about a Derby that brings a lot of money in tourism to the area. Missdemeanor, If you guys need a rep from Sandy, Count me in. I will be more than willing to lend a hand.
  10. Congrat on your fish Steve. I called Keith right after I saw your fish on the board when I was at work.
  11. Nice fish Motoman. What lure did he take?
  12. Most guys start running them in mid August. You can run them off of anything, leadcore, copper, riggers and dipsies. Remember they do dive some so run them short enought that they will not tangle.
  13. Come on Tom, give the guy a break. He will still buy your flies to cover up the fact that he is now a laker fisherman!!!!!!!
  14. Whats next FISHINMAN fishes lakers?
  15. You will never get that slime off. Just ask Jax. The lakers will flock to your boat now.
  16. That Yankee Troller was fishing lakers yesterday. Rick, is this true? A buddy of mine went by and saw cowbells flying behind the Yankee Troller boat. If this is true, get out the icefishing stuff because hell is going to freeze over.
  17. I know we could get a strong showing from the Sandy guys. I know Foster22, Legacy, Scottb, Running Rebel, Trout N about, Jax, Tank, Gator, and others fish tournies. Hopefully we can get them in it. Let me know Matt, I would be more than willing to help organize something.
  18. I suggested a Rochester Pro-Am two seasons ago and got blasted for it. I would love to see more derbys in the Rochester area. I fished the Orleans Derby of the Month and liked it. It was small but well run. I'm looking forward to the next one on September 6th. I think you could get enough people to enter if something was put together. How about a Monroe County Derby of the Month out of Irondequoit, The Genesee, and Sandy.
  19. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/app ... 1/ROCEARTH Isn't Phosphorus good for the plankton and the bait fish?
  20. I heard it from Yankee Troller yesterday when he called me. I have not heard anything from some guys up that way.
  21. I own a Fish Hawk and it is ok. I have been on boats with the Depth Raider and the Moor and I would have to say the Depth Raider is best out of the three. When my Fish Hawk dies, I will be going with the Depth Raider. The digital display and the smaller probe is great.
  22. 8/20 Fished 80 -90 FOW and did 2 kings, 1 coho and 5 lakers. Live wire Spin Doctor with the green hammer A-Tom-Mik, the stinger NBK, and familiar bite took all the fish. Fish came 55 - 70 down. Biggest king was 24.5 lbs. 8/21 Fished Braddocks to Watoma in 90 -125 FOW and did 7 kings and 1 atlantic. NK chicken wing, Mt. Dew Spin Doctor with the green crinkle A-Tom-Mik, and the green Spin Doctor with the green hammer A-Tom-Mik took all the fish. Biggest king of the day was 27.5 lbs. 8/22 Fished from Sandy to the Nose in 55 - 65 FOW. Took the first rip on the 200' copper off the board. After almost being spooled, we boated a 28 lb king. After taking a small king, the action slowed. Worked out to 300 - 350 FOW and took five more king from 10 - 20 lbs and 4 steelhead from 4 - 10 lbs. All the fish came down 35 -50 down. The kings came off the wires out 150' on a 3 setting and riggers down 45 and 40 with NBK, and Gator stingers. The steelies came on the high riggers down 35 on the NBK. Ended the day 11 for 16 with the biggest being the 28 lbs. fish.
  23. Foster, Again, congrats. Hopefully it will stay high up on the board for you.
  24. One the label on the package, it has reccomended lenghts for each application. I believe the furthest back they recommend is 25'.
