  1. Team Cold Steel is looking for an Observer for the Orleans Pro-Am. An one interested can PM or call me @(315)591-4578 Thanks, Andy
  2. The salmon fishing has been tough to say the least. But the brown trout action has picked up starting last Thursday. Off the bouys there has been a nice mix bag of browns, rainbows, steelhead and atlantics.
  3. I'm looking @ 3 here in Fat Nancy's West and I think they have 7 more in the Pulaski store.
  4. I've fished off of this boat, its in excellent conditon & super clean. Catches lots of fish too
  5. From what I've heard this was one of the best spoons going last year at the Oak. Was a make your own spoon, but now its avalible pre made
  6. As Paul said two haywire twists back to back will do the job! Unfortunatly I've done this a bit. One othe thing I do when ever I have that double haywire on the reel is coat the "knot" with UV wader repair or UV knot sense. I put it on and coat the "knot" in the shade it then hardens in direct sunlight in less than a min. This helps save the guides on your rod and it also helps keeping the sharp ends from cutting your fingers
  7. I use the next size down when running sliders or cheaters. So, in your case I would go with 10lbs. If the slider breaks you only lose 1 lure, if the main breaks you lose 2
  8. I've been running Power Pro on my riggers for two seasons now. I personally love it! Downsides: On Cannon downriggers you don't have any auto up. Flea collect on it like 10lbs test mono It does fray a bit at the end
  9. As long as your not using the oars try looking into Scotty's oarlock adapters for their rod holders. I had a pair on my small boat, you don't have to drill any holes, they worked great and are very adjustable.
  10. As Legacy said a simple overhand gets the job done. I have seen some guys put a swivel on the end. I feel however the loop gives the fly more action.
  11. To run copper from boards the simplest realese is a shower curtian ring with rubber bands Another choice that is popular are the Clipper Release. With this release you can connect to the backing or you can use them with rubber bands. Remember when attatching the rubber bands I place them on the copper a 1' from the backing. I haven't had an issue this way and it holds great!
  12. It is ok to put out divers first as I start them going out before my Riggers go into the water. The key is to let the copper out slowly, make sure it is tight once its fully out then send it out on the board slowly so it doesn't free fall into your diver.
  13. Dave, Can you enter the boat derby after it starts or do you need to be in before it begins?

  15. Vince, Your right I never did take her feelings into account. We need to find her a good home. She still has plenty of great years still ahead of her!
  16. When Casey comes up with the big white Dodge next week we'll pull the trolley out of the way to make room for Penny! Then we'll pass the hat to collect money to pay for her. I bet there are a lot of guys out there that would pay big $$$ to not have to compete against that boat again
