  1. Mmmmmmmmm Lakers!! [ Post made via Android ]
  2. I run them flat lined in the spring off the boards, and have taken Kings, Cohos, Steelies and Lakers on them.
  3. They work in the spring for Kings for me, in the shallow water. Keep them
  4. I have no experience with them, but keep in mind, if doing a skin mount, it takes time to do for drying, so the longer the better so the paint doesn't wind up cracking.
  5. x2 what Tall Tails just said, that should get some response going big time.
  6. I think those are angler's pal rod holders http://www.cabelas.com/fishing-rod-hold ... lder.shtml
  7. It was down right nasty first thing, glad we kept at it.
  8. Fished both east and west of Olcott in 8 - 10 fow, water was anywhere from 37 to 40 degrees, lots of waves and wind. Caught browns, lakers and a rainbow on thundersticks longlined of the boards. Took a 10lb brown on an evil eye fished 2' down on a rigger.
  9. Nice pole barn Big Dave What size is it? Do you have any other pics of it? I am in the planning stage of building some sort of garage / barn for my boat and "stuff", looking for ideas and pics are worth a thousand words.
  10. Got out today for the first big water trip of 2011 and got 2 browns trolling the shoreline with sticks. Water was between 35 and 38 degrees, water in the harbor was 41. It has begun!!! This winter has been far too long.
  11. Oh yeah, beyond ready to splash the boat, hopefully get the small boat out this weekend for some shorline trolling. Going stir crazy sitting in the office with it being almost 60 outside
  12. Thanks for the clarification Jeff. I can agree, the 245 does have a bit of a roll to it when on plane, but it has been my experience that when trimed a certain way, not much tab and the bow up, the tippy actions are minimized. I have read that this is due to the fact that the 245 has an 8' beam and a steep deadrise, which is great in a head sea, but a handful in a following sea. I have found that you just have to be a little more alert of the conditions you are running in, and drive the boat, instead of just putting it in gear and going.
  13. What's up with that????? Richard, with any boat, spend the money on a survey, any boat will be affected by the way it was treated. I can answer any questions you may have on the 245, as that is what my ride is.
  14. wow, 3 pages so far does that add value
  15. The saltwater guys over on TheHullTruth seem to like them, conclusion is that they are pretty solid boats, well built.
  16. Icemans additude???? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
