  1. Nice pole barn Big Dave What size is it? Do you have any other pics of it? I am in the planning stage of building some sort of garage / barn for my boat and "stuff", looking for ideas and pics are worth a thousand words.
  2. Got out today for the first big water trip of 2011 and got 2 browns trolling the shoreline with sticks. Water was between 35 and 38 degrees, water in the harbor was 41. It has begun!!! This winter has been far too long.
  3. Oh yeah, beyond ready to splash the boat, hopefully get the small boat out this weekend for some shorline trolling. Going stir crazy sitting in the office with it being almost 60 outside
  4. Thanks for the clarification Jeff. I can agree, the 245 does have a bit of a roll to it when on plane, but it has been my experience that when trimed a certain way, not much tab and the bow up, the tippy actions are minimized. I have read that this is due to the fact that the 245 has an 8' beam and a steep deadrise, which is great in a head sea, but a handful in a following sea. I have found that you just have to be a little more alert of the conditions you are running in, and drive the boat, instead of just putting it in gear and going.
  5. What's up with that????? Richard, with any boat, spend the money on a survey, any boat will be affected by the way it was treated. I can answer any questions you may have on the 245, as that is what my ride is.
  6. wow, 3 pages so far does that add value

  16. Check this link, some good details for the lower niagara, at the very bottom is a picture of the extreme end of the ice. I've fished in this before, no big deal, just have to take your time plowing through it. http://www.outdoorsniagara.com/niagarar ... elhead.htm
  17. Yes, there is always at least a part of the dock in at Lewiston. In the dead of winter when the ice is the worst, there is at least a section of dock about the size of a 19' boat that you can tie up to.
  18. Nice shootin Jay
  19. Nice Buck, good shootin
  20. You can use trolling bags to slow the boat down, run one on each side. I do that with my rig, as do many others on this board.
