Had a half day trip this morning and it was dink city again. Ended up w/ about 20 fish, but we did manage a 22# and 26# kings. Fished mostly 130-150fow and 50-65' down. The only dipsey to fire a few times was @ 180' out w/ a live wire spindoctor and no see-um Fox fly. The best rigger spoons were Stingrays w/ anything green on them. Temp was about 44 deg down 65'. Back out again tomorrow afternoon. Good luck.

We know you would fish this tourny, but with 4 of us putting it together, our schedules and the 22nd being the only open date at the club for the weigh-in, this is why the date is what it is. We couldn't worry about another tourny that we might lose 1 or 2 boats to. Someone will be disappointed no matter what date it is. Good luck [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

We are going to see how this pans out the next year or two before we decide if it gets expanded. This is our first go around with putting a tourny together and we want to see how well it goes first. Thank you, Scott

Yeah, I was out voted. We now have R & R as a sponsor. All teams that come to the weigh-in will receive R & R products. You MUST come to the weigh-in to receive these products.

Had a 6 hour rain/wind trip today and ended up soaked to the bone. Thank god it was warm out. Boated about 16 and lost a bunch more w/ 10# brown being the biggest. Most of the fish were them skippy kings. 80-130 fow was best. 55-65 down on the riggers w/ those DW SS super glow target tip green dolphins doing a bunch and and the 42sec Stingray was good early. The divers were fairly quiet w/ only a couple hits on the live wire spindoctor/no see-um Fox fly. Temp has come up a bit but it's a very tight band inside. Out deeper it loosens up a bit. Good luck.

Did someone say new tourny? Hmmm [ Post made via Mobile Device ] -
Fished till 10am this morning with my pops and it was fairly tough in the wind /waves. We ended up w/ 9 small kings and a 6# bow. All fish came on the riggers 80'-110' down in about 160fow. NBK Stingrays took half of the fish and a live wire spindoctor/nbk Fox fly did the rest. Temp is way down now due to that west wind. Hopefully in stays fairly calm this week to get them temps up a bit. Back out this Friday. Good luck.

I don't know if they were clipped. We were too busy to pay attention. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] -

Kieth from "nuthin but net" joined us to try to get that big Brown since the 19# was D.Q. We fished 40fow east of the creek till we ran in at 7am due to a storm. We did about 12 small kings in that time. Came back out by 7:30ish and started in 25fow trolling west of the creek and ended up finally finding a bunch of Browns a bow and a few small kings. Biggest we could do on the Browns was about 9#. We were pretty busy most of the morning. The fish were hitting all DW Super Slims in the 40sec, super glow - green and blue dolphin target tips, also NBK Stingers were good. Temp was about 55 deg down 17' till the warm water came in at 10am. Then you had to move out a little and find that 55 deg at about 40' down. Good luck. Well be back out Sunday.

Knots for tying terminal takle to wire line
Silver Fox replied to jsmac51's topic in Tackle and Techniques
We use 3 very small wire crimps to attach the swivel to the wire and have zero issues. -
We are using 2 15# torpedo's from A-TOM-MIK this year and love them!

Saturday we had a half day charter, but after coming back to the dock 2 different times to drop off the "green" ones it only lasted till 10am. We didn't end up fishing for much more than a couple of hours total between trips to and from the marina. Ended up doing about 6 fish with a 10 & 13 year old tag teaming a 20# king being the biggest. Not much more to tell ya on that messed up morning. Sunday Rob (Legacy) joined us for some derby fishing till about 12:30. We fished the first couple hours in the 50'-70' range and did a few browns, 4 skippy kings, atlantic and a 10# coho. All were taken 50'-60' down on gator & nbk stingrays. Then we turned north looking for bigger fish and found that the most productive water for us was around that 250' area. We boated about 6 fish w/ a 20# & 27.5# kings being the biggest. Divers @ 200' and 240' were the best w/ a live wire spin doctor w/ a no see-um Fox fly. Took a couple of bows 60' down on the riggers and lost one dandy bow that put a great show on till the wire got in the way! The big king came 80' down on that same spin doctor fly combo. I still have not fired my down the shute copper yet this year and when the lead core is out instead, thats been quiet too. Is it only me or are the junk lines not producing that well this year? No complaints the fishing is awesome! Back out at some point this weekend. Good luck.
