  1. Keith (nuthin but net) joined us this morning as we ended up 7-11. The bite ended when that front/wind came through at about 10am. The morning started slow as we dropped our first 3 fish w/ one being a big bow that hit the 80' rigger and was airborn within a second, then gone. All of our fish boated this morning were kings that ranged from 2# - a couple of 23#ers. Smartfish and spinnies were hot today. Mt. dew smarty w/ mirage Fox fly and the NBK spinny w/ green Atomik fly did most of the damage. Only a couple of fish on spoons. Riggers fired from 70' - 90' down and the wire dipsey's were @ a 2 setting 180' - 250' out. The 250' line was the best. Temp was 80 - 100' down and as usual this year the fish were hitting on the warmer side of it. We had a great time today and it looks like the Kings are here to stay. BTW: First time w/ my new 500' copper set up from Atomik today. After an hour it was tangled in the dipsey. 300' of it ended up in the bucket for a long fix at home. Good luck pops!
  2. If you fart in the hose of a vacume can you shut it off and then open the bag to smell it later?
  3. 30# is just about no match for them tiny PITA's anymore.
  4. Their were 6 or 7 of us in that august derby. I think we took most if not all the $. Bob, I'm not sure where your getting your facts from but, this looks like a done deal anyways. That's alright. Keith, I already have the ball rolling w/ rob and gary so far. I have ideas also about raffles for $ and hopefully sponsor prizes for at the weigh-in. PM me your phone # and I'll run it by ya and see what you think. I'm sure if a few of us pitch in with the details we can have a good turn out and a good time. Bob, no big deal, you do a lot for the fishery that we take part in anyways.
  5. Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?
  6. We never have a problem w/ 20# flea flicker. I also add about 10' of 15# mono at the end for leader. I keep 2 rods w/o a leader for when I run my flashers and 3 rods w/ leaders for the spoons. BTW: DON'T get the 30# flea flicker.
  7. Gator, If he needs a ride, let me know. I'm sure he can't stink up the boat as much as I can.
  8. If for some reason we can't get included then I'll talk to Bruce about a similar tourney for Sandy. We'll do something either way.
  9. Keith is right. I think our Sandy boats out numbered the oak boats in them 3 fish tourney's last summer. I think your turnout for the 3 fish tourney will suffer if Sandy is not invited this year.
  10. Micheal Jackson didn't die from a heart attack. He died from a bad batch of 12 year old nuts! You said anything.
  11. Yeah, I don't think anyone has had them bite yet. I tried a couple of weeks ago w/ no hits either. I was gonna give ya a shout at around 10:30 but I saw you were gone. You must have been inside by then. I think we'll be out sunday again.
  12. Tough fishing today w/ all of that warm water around not to mention these fish could still be anywhere from the top to 200' down. We had about 60 degrees on the bottom in 110fow. We kept going north and found our best fishing in about 350'. Couldn't figure out why they were holding on that line but most of our fish were caught trolling west on it. We finished 6-8 w/ kings up to 13#'s and a 9# rainbow. We did a couple of kings down 115' and the rest were at around 70' down. Most of our fish came on green/crush glow smartfish w/ green/mirage and white ghost Fox flies on the wires out 225' or the riggers at around 70' down. The 2 deep fish we got were on the watermelon extend glow stingray. We marked about 8 fish and no bait at all the whole morning. Till next time, good luck.
  13. Fished today from 280'-350fow straight off the creek and ended up 7-13 w/ the biggest being a 8# bow. Mostly bows today w/ a couple of small kings mixed in. 40-55' down on (you name the color) stingers and stingrays. 2 fish on the 100' wire w/ chicken wing stinger and 1 bow on the 225' wire w/ mt. dew smartfish and green/mirage Fox fly. Whenever you got fish today it would be a couple at a time, then dead for awhile, then a couple more and so on. Temp was 50 degrees 40' down. We didn't mark much of anything, but we got our fish there. Lots of fleas! They are in full force now. Be prepared! Good luck.
  14. We tried as far as 160' down and couldn't get them to go either. I still had 42 degrees down 120'ish. See ya guys next weekend.
  15. Legacy joined us today as we fished from 6am-noon. We ended the day 10-13 w/ the biggest being 9 1/2lb brown. 3 lakers, 4 bows, 1 coho, 1 atlantic and 1 brown. We started w/ a couple of fish early in 200fow and then didn't have a hit for about 2 and a half hours. We got into 65-70fow trolled east and kept the bottom speed at 1.8-2.0mph and the top speed was about 1.4mph. We changed everything over to purple/silver nklites and crippled alwives. Then we started poppin fish on everything. Cores at 10 color, divers at 130'-150' and the riggers between 50' and 65'feet down. You definitely had to be slow traveling east to get anything to go. The current seems to be a little too fast for the browns liking right now. It ended up being a fun day and look forward to getting out later this week and the weekend. Good luck.
  16. We were at mil's also. My dad is in cottage #2. We had the 16' tracker at the end of the left dock. Small freaking world huh? Which cottage were you guys in?
