How many of you guys have reached out to the Fisheries Manager in the region that you fish? I just hung with one of them and he has not received a phone call complaining about the poor fishing... Squeaky Wheels get the Grease! Get active and make some calls, Attend local and regional meetings when they happen. Call your own local state politicians, for some its an election year. I realize some of you are from out of state, call the county tourism office in the regions that you fish tell them your hesitate to spend money in there region again. Get the Head Tourism Director on the phone tell him or her what is happening. This is the only way we improve the situation. -
Join us tomorrow night for our monthly meeting at a NEW location! We will be having our meeting at the Runnings store in Clay NY at 7pm. Please come out and see what we are all about. We will be having a round table discussion about this last season and our focus for 2016 which I am sure involves some heavy discussion with NYS and the DEC. This wont be a **** session but we will have in depth talk about the clubs approach and impact on the eastern basin in 2016. The meeting is open to the public and we always accept new members. See you all then! Brian

There are only 2 places with the computer scan and millers island is one of them. In Canandaigua there is a prop guy who advertises it...that is where he sends them I can show you the paper work. But if you like paying extra I can give you the name of the place there.

Here is where it will end up by using Rookies middle man. And Yes they do a fantastic job! Right around 500.00 for a pair to be computer tuned. http://www.millersislandprop.com/ 2 week turnaround typically.

Are you sure its the autopilot and not your steering cable going bad? Only way to know that is to remove the sport pilot head and then try and turn the wheel.

HA HA HA!!!! That's Awesome!!! Now that is a true Calcutta right there!! All the Big saltwater tournies do that for there Calcuttas most of the time you have to buy your own team back in the bet if you want to bet on your team! Love this!!! They are on to something right there! Great Year Tony! A very very few fish as hard as you do! In fact I don't think I know anyone who fishes as much as you do. Work all night in some cases and fish all day. You deserve everything you won and you played within the rules to do it! Congratulations!!! again!! -

The Cambell River in British Columbia is the home of the Tyee Club. The fishing resort had the museum dedicated to this. I will see if I can find the pictures and post them here. It was pretty cool.
-
Definition of a Tyee is 30lbs. Doesn't matter if you are in British Columbia or Lake Ontario. Tyee=30lbs

A little more east end history. During the shutdown in 78 I believe please correct me if I got the year wrong. Two brothers who owned a saw mill on a small creek east of the nuclear plant decided they were going to raise there own kings. So they did, it was "Old Hickory" and his brother some of you may remember Old Hickory he passed away at 96 about 6 years ago. Anyway he and his brother raised these kings for at least 4 egg cycles before they were found out and asked to stop. Every year since 1980 there has been a small late October, early November run off kings to this particular creek what a very cool legacy these two men have left the Eastern Basin. Certain veteran captains would hold out knowing this run would stage in the area as well. I with held the name of this creek to protect the innocent!! -
Also think of Copper as a downrigger when it comes to leader length of mono. Isn't that right Paul! I suggested this tidbit to Paul quite a few years ago as he was ready to throw it all in the lake. It is not Leadcore!!!!! Typically 8 to 20 ft, I start short and go longer if it isn't producing.
