    We asked for years for more domestic rainbows and less steelhead. Were always told no even though domestics live more like a Brown trout and are more accessible to all anglers.

    But are they reducing the chinook stockings because of it? Instead of 50k this last year would they have given us 134k instead?

    This is to continually satisfy a few from Trout Unlimited.. There distain for Chinooks never ceases to amaze me.

    This is a lot of money to satisfy a few.... Please write and make public comments heard. Anyone want to venture what the economic impact is? I guarantee more dollars would be spent chasing an additional 84k in Chinooks then 200k Atlantics....

    Looks like an easy one to make. The dot color is sold in spray paint at Lowe's. That is on an original chip too. Larger fin and the chip holder gives that away.

    Sabiki rigs. Make sure you cut one hook off so you are not over the hook point limit. Do it during the day.

    I think the management plan is more like Wild fish are going to be considered in the overall biomass when making hatchery decisions. I don't see it as lowering our inputs from the hatchery Not yet anyway.

    Please join us next week June 15th for our monthly meeting at the Mexico VFW at 7pm. We will have Steve Hurst, DEC Bureau Chief of Fisheries and Chris Leggard our DEC Lake Ontario Section Head as our guests. This will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC as always and will be a question and answer format discussion. They will also have some recent data to share with us. I hope to see you all there and please share this with family and friends!

    Simrad or Garmin is a Great choice. Raymarine has a long way to go on there fish finding capabilities. I think the one thing that separates Simrad and Garmin is the specific mapping choice for Lake Ontario. The Simrad Platinum Card has superior detail to any other brand. As far as Radar, Autopilot they are relatively the same. I love my Simrad units and I see no reason to change at all. Now I do have a stand alone Garmin for Panoptics as well so that could be another consideration.

    Also make sure if it is a single bag you are running on the side of the boat the prop is spinning too. So standard rotation spinning to the starboard make sure the bag is on the starboard side. Also Ricks's suggestion of two smaller bags on each side could fix it as well.

    Check around but Familiar bite has gone out of business. ATOMMIK can set you up with what you need.

    The small craft is issued because of wind speed... there are thresholds for wind speed that dictate the warnings... come on man tell the whole story instead of just plugging..

    Charter Lakes. However everyone's rates are on the rise. Cost of doing business. Gotta love NYS requirement of 1 million in liability on Charter boats.

    Unfortunately due to the location and layout we can not have any speakers this year. Our main focus was to have the swap. Look for a more "Normal" event next year! See you Saturday!

    I don't run a smart troll system but I doubt there wont be any interference. The panoptics signal rate is far to fast. I have a simrad system and a fishhawk system running and I have zero interference from it. I think you will be just fine.
