Been a pretty good spoon bite on those kings. Maybe one attractor in the riggers and spoons everywhere else. 40 foot deep range. 1/2 cores had been working. slide Divers too.

Chas 0218, I was trying some Riviera Doubles that day and wasn't impressed. I love the Riviera Triples for everything including copper but the doubles didn't track well for me.

You can see my setup on this video. I like the trees and I often wrap the board tether line around the top of the tree. Handy to hook releases to and more importantly, it can't get hooked on the rods/reels on turns.

Took a couple of shots with some 3", 1 3/4 oz,#5 shot at 40 yards tonight. Both shots had zero pellets outside a 30" circle. Using a Hastings Wadlock barrel with their .660 choke. Definitely a keeper turkey load for me.

The captain never got paid. If anyone is giving them away, I will take all you want to send to me.

In my opinion the 25 Carolina Classic is the ultimate 25 foot fishing machine. Maybe even the ultimate 26 or 27 foot fishing machine! Major big water boat. For reference a 25 foot Sportcraft weighs 6000 lbs. Good luck with the sale. Priced well with the updated power and accessories and being freshwater.

For a permanent label on a rod, I use a metallic ink pen and then put a coat of rod finish over it once the ink dries. You can border the text area with the same wraps you used for your guides as well. For different length coppers I label the reel on the reel seat with a sharpie so I can switch it to other rods if I need to and still know what is on the reel. Sorry - thought when you said built that you meant you built the rods. Now I see that you meant that you rigged up your reels. Never mind the permanent label info.

Think I found a seven foot blank that will fill the bill.

One other lesson learned I would like to share. If you are using a Twilly Tip in a spiral guide configuration, you may have issues with breakoffs. Twilly does a great job in manufacturing to make sure that the end of the spring towards the reel (the spring end has a sharp end) ends up in the top of the guide. We were running a wire rod with a Twilly one day as a copper rod. Of course while trolling, the weight of the reel made the rod spin around in the rod holder so the line ended up riding in the top of the twilly. It cut that braided backing like a hot knife through butter. Don't know if it would cut the stainless but it can't be good for it.

It is one I can't get anymore unfortunately. It was an American Tackle blank that has a nice moderate action that loads up really well. Looking for an economical replacement without much success so far. The one in the picture below is an 8 footer that I can get but I think it is borderline too light. Haven't run it much so I don't know if it will hold up yet. Did just get a new 7 foot blank that I haven't wrapped up yet but it looks like it has potential. I just laid out a set of roller guides on the new 7 foot blank and loaded up to see what it looked like. Looks like it's a keeper!

I don't have a picture of the one that Big Dave uses under load. Maybe Blue Heron on here has one of his?

Had a meeting in Watertown today and was able to hit the Salmon River for an hour or so this afternoon. Flow at 2000 cfs but fished some water that I normally stand in and found some to play with. Fished floats with the bait caster. Works just like a CP.
