  1. A guy from this board pmed me that he makes Lake Ontario tackle so I had him make me a couple. He did a nice job and the deal went through without a glitch. I would recommend him if you are looking for something. marckulak on this board.
  2. Not a problem. Somebody already pmed me that they want them if you don't take them. Thanks for letting me know.
  3. Yup. All the charts, explaining and debating will not change that fact.

  7. I got two older ones I would part with. One in nice shape the other in decent shape ( some bubbling in rod varnish and some friction marks on the finish but rod still functions perfectly.) $50.00 for both. I live in MA and will be up in Mexico Bay starting the end of March early April. Otherwise you would pay shipping.

  14. I have a couple on my little boat. They will be fine for trout. I wouldn't trust them with a dipsy rod and Salmon.
  15. Very nice.
  16. Yup.
  17. I thought there wasn't any political stuff allowed here. You liberal idiots.
  18. Thats pretty much it. From the DEC website: Description: Reduce the daily creel limit for rainbow trout/steelhead on Lake Ontario from 3 fish per day to 2 fish per day. Rationale: Rainbow trout/steelhead provide the primary sportfishery in Lake Ontario's tributaries from November through the following spring. This potential change is designed to increase numbers and sustainability of rainbow trout/steelhead in the tributary fishery by reducing open lake harvest during periods when Chinook fishing success in the lake declines and more anglers specifically target rainbow trout/steelhead. The lake guys will suffer with the Salmon reduction and they will be releasing a lot of Steelhead that will die trying to get the third fish rather than let them take a limit of three Steelhead when the opportunity presents itself and going home. Look how many Lakers that were caught while Salmon fishing and were released to die when the limit was at one,
  19. That is your opinion and I respect that. You can't tell clients on a 6 hr trip that we are going to pull our spread and move, maybe find fish maybe not, because Fat Trout can't see you boxing your limit of Steelhead. 9+ boxes of Browns, Salmon or Lakers is OK? Why?
  20. Steelhead released during the summer and early fall and die, while people attempt to get their third fish will benefit no one.
  21. Not trying to pick a fight with anybody Dave. The words I quoted were yours not mine. I will point things out when I see BS being thrown around or have questions about statements made. Like the quotes I put up from our discussion from Oct regarding Salmon returns and trib fishing. Why did you make a meaningless threat Dave?
  22. You mean anybody that opposes this regulation should shut up? Sounds like a threat of some kind. Seems to me the DEC will get a better understanding of exactly how the fishermen here feel about this regulation change by reading this thread. Facts matter whether they suite your agenda or not.
  23. For what it's worth, this is irrelevant. They are accepting comments until Dec. 14th
  24. Exactly, If you are against this regulation change it's extremely important to send your comments to the address Bob Songin opened the thread with. It only takes a few minutes. Send your comments to: [email protected]: with this in the subject line: 6 NYCRR Part 10 Section 11-0317-Amendents to Great Lakes sportfishery regulation in 6NYCRR Part 10 Take a page out of the King Davy play book and recruit as many friends as you can to do the same.
