    They packed it in snow, waited for the state official to show up then took to a place w/a certified scale (maxed out their 30 lb scale), then brought it another certified scale w/higher max capacity to get an official weight. Color fades rapidly after fish die. This is what it looked like when it was 1st caught.

    Sodus Point is a nice area. I also enjoy Oak Orchard but if you want to walk to everything Sodus gets my vote.

    For hooks you can't go wrong with Owner or Gamakatsu. Both are strong and sticky sharp. Always try and match the hook size that comes on the stick bait.

    I have tried red trebles on stick baits and didn't really notice any difference one way or the other.

    Can't understand why,just the opposite for me. I love fish slime & smell on my lures. Blood on my flys makes me happy.

    I go with 40 lb and choke down to 20 for spoons or plugs. Keep your leader short, 10ft at most and it's fishable.

    Agreed. No need to go to that extent on a family oriented production. I liked it but would feel differently if my little granddaughters were watching the game with me.
