  1. LOL.
  2. Yes if they are in good condition. I paid $69.00 new with shipping.
  3. Merry Christmas all.
  4. Personally I run Shimano Talora tla-86m-2 for Kings and Shakespear ugly sticks BWD 1101 8" 3" light action for Browns/ Walleye. You will get a lot of different opinions here and thats good. Just keep in mind there is no one rod that will be good for both types of fishing. If you want to save some money on reels you could go with something like a Diawa sealine sg27lc's for the Walleye and Browns for about $100.00 a reel. They are good quality reels and would work fine for the smaller fish. They aren't Tekotas but I believe you would be happy with them.
  5. Are there any commonalities between landing a 3-6 lb Walleye and a 20-30 lb King? You can use your Salmon gear to fish for anything with a line change but you got to understand you will simply be winching the fish in with no consideration for a battle of any kind. Rods are the most important factor.
  6. You won't find much that will handle a 30 lb King and be good 6 lb Walleye. You are on the right track as far as buying quality over quantity. It will save you headaches as well as money in the long run. You really should consider different gear for the two different species. Tekotas are very nice reels and I personally own about 16 of them and they get used plenty. 600's are good for Kings and the 500's are good for Browns and Walleye. Rod quality, weight and action is important as well.
  7. I had a 15 hp Honda on my 25 ft Wellcraft. It would troll in anything. Smaller ponds and pick your days type fishing you could probably get away with an 8 hp high thrust. Personally I would go with a 15 especially for Lake Ontario. I've never heard anybody complain about having a few extra HP on the big pond.
  8. The 27's I posted the picture of are no longer for sale. Thanks, Glen
  9. White Green Mountain Dew Chrome All with crushed glow tape should cover all your bases. Keep it basic and simple for awhile and you will be more productive.
  10. Here you go. Sorry it took so long. I also have a couple of 27 lc Acudepth plus I'll let go if you are interested.
  11. Opps, sorry slammin. I forgot to send you a picture of the 27's. I'll get that to you or post it up here tonight or tomorrow at the latest. I apologize. Glen
  12. I don't know FF. I've been running the sub troll cable on my Scottys for a long time and never had a break. I just re-terminate every season and good to go. I use crimps though and Cannon Terminators on my non probe riggers. Good luck.
  13. I got a couple Sealine sg27lc's I will part with. $50.00 ea shipped if you are interested. Nice condition,.
  14. My last boat with two outboards, main and kicker, had an inline water separator with one in two outs. Simple and worked flawlessly for quite a few years. Wouldn't do it any other way. My main was a 2 stroke but it had a separate oil tank so no mixing.
  15. Don't worry about the drags on the 500 and 600's. I own 16 of these reels, some for probably 10 years and the drags are great.
  16. 600 lc for Salmon 500 LC for Browns and Walleye
  17. 600 LC for Salmon, 500 lc for Browns and Walleye
  18. Good job Dennis. Sounds like you are having fun. What are you doing for a boat down there?
  19. Hit the pond for a few hrs of ME time this morning. Fished from Selkirk north and settled in to 60 to 75 fow. Pretty dismal screen but I managed to hit 2 Cohos and about a 7lb Brown all colored up and feisty. First Coho came out of 72 deg water, 90 ft of the wire out on a Mountain dew chip with green fly over 65 fow and #2 took a green chip with green fly off the rigger down 70 over 75 fow. Brown took an Orange Stinger w black Ladder back down 50 over 60 fow. Thats a wrap for 2016. Good fishing to all that remain on the Lake. Glen
  20. Have a great one Hank,
  21. Fish the marks and stick a dodger and fly out on a dypsy. Note the action telegraphed through the rod tip and when you get bit, try and duplicate that action. Downrigger cable angle will also work.
