  1. FLO1919, We succesfully released quite a few very large Steelhead a week ago Friday by unhooking them off the back of the boat. NO net, no handleling and nothing under the gill plates PLEASE. They will quite often turn on there side as they recover from the battle but give them a couple minutes and they will swim away. If not then it's time for a swing back through with the net and one for the box. As the surface water warms the survial rate will unfortunately decrease. Unfortunatley, not much you can do. No net and no handleing is best. Very good question by the way. Glen
  2. Shark, I was able to register by phone by calling St Peters at the # listed by Tom earlier in the thread. Glen
  3. Each Team has their own way of doing things. None of which are right or wrong to anyone else but the team itself. Bottom line is the Capt. or owner of the vessel is resposible for all that goes on on that vessel. Glen
  4. I got an Interstate series 27 for my 50lb thrust Minn Kota. Works great. Still need to install a battery holder and strap under the front deck with a plug but I'm to busy fishing right now. Probably over the winter. Glen
  5. Glad to hear you got some fish Cornelis. Finding them is half the battle. Glen
  6. Tough crowd. Give me a call when you want to get out Chris. Glen
  7. Tom, Are there any additional sign ups for the triple crown or just enter the three derbys? I registered for Oswego by phone so not sure how the Triple Crown works. Thanks. Glen
  8. Congratulations. Nothing like fishing the big lake and having the convenience of the boat already in the water and close by. Good luck this season. Glen
  9. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Sliderbite. Glen and Kelly
  10. Snoring!!!??? Thought he had a dam chainsaw in the room with him. Richards a great guy to have along on a trip and the team, Rodney and Alan did a great job out there. Capt. sucked as I didn't put us on enough quality fish to win the thing. Glen
  11. Hey Steve, Good to hear from you bud. Thanks for the kind words but Spoonfed kinda sucked out west this year with a couple of 6th place finishes. Crews did a good job but the Capt didn't generate enough quality bites to win it. Congrats to High Voltage and all the other winning Teams out there. Glen
  12. Thanks for the kind words rolmops. Pleasure having you onboard. Those pros are tough to beat. The crew did a great job and it hurt releasing the last four fish buts that how it goes. Was a tough bite for sure. Would have really liked to get those two guys up there on stage with a 1st place win but 6th aint to bad. Glen
  13. Mexico seems to be your best bet on average. Last fall the Oswego fleet were fishing in Mexico Bay quite often and there where a lot of Oswego boats docked in the Little Salmon river. There are exceptions, but more often than not Mexico Bay and north is good fishing. Glen
  14. Scotty. Been running them for 14 or 15 seasons. Very reliable. Glen
  15. Hi Sean. You shouldn't hear anything from them unless there was a problem. The Capts. meeting is Friday evening before the tourny fishing starts on Sat. Go to the proam website and click on the subtitle Capts info. The information is there. Glen
  16. Best of luck Dave. If you feel the need to get out on a boat after the proams and you heal up a little send me a PM. I got two bad ones that will need replacing at some point. Glen
  17. Nope, Only fished out there for a week Richard. The boats been getting worked on since then. Will be back out in the Bay this weekend. Glen
  18. It's a DAM SHAME is what it is. Don't blame you in the least Tom, I would have done the same in your shoes. This really sucks. Glen (Spoonfed/NK)
  19. It might smell like dirty feet Glen. Don't care. Got about $20.00 bucks worth of materials there. $40 bucks with the other foot. Glen
  20. Can I have it when your done? See you in about a week and a half. Glen
