  1. power plant, hours on boat, where's it located ???
  2. looks like thats whats published..... must want to save the Lake Trout population.... . After all so many big fish killed during the summer
  3. For me this year it's been....50 and as Bandrus 1 stated go some above some below. The most important part has been finding the fish when you do you "cash in...!!!" Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Yes it is !!! Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Mike, I'll give you a PM and the run down..... Swing up to S&R buy 2 familiar bite packs. A big paddle in green/glow. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Funny you say that for years I've fished out of smaller boats ( first a 16', now a 19') I really think there's a balance between size and trailer able boats. If that lake demands a bigger boat than I probably don't want to be out there in the first place. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. First off a huge thank you to the boys for putting on another outstanding tournament. I've been apart of it from the start and its already penciled in for next year. Pre fished Fri. Night and knew where NOT to go!!! 5 hours in the water and never moved a rod. The weeks before the SCS told me where I needed to be and they where still there. The memories will last forever, read "Rigged SCS" for the whole run down. When you get a quad on majors and land them all it going to be a special trip! Finished 2nd place and also finished 2nd in the LOC with a #27.15 kung that came from the same waters ! Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. You'd be giving up while some of the hottest action is going on, If you don't have flees than you don't have fish. Adapt to your conditions and throw some Blood Run Sea Flee on 30 is good stuff. 100' then a leader Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. No pro here, just a weekend warrior who's put in his time. The weeks leading up to SCS produced plenty of good fish a brown @ #14.12 a king weighing #23.7 and the second place LOC fish @ 27.15. The location well.... everyone who boxed out on kings was there and they were hungry. Our start was a #12 king that was not going to help us in any way 7:15 AM and still not any thing to speak of. At 8:30 the port rigger 95' down with a mag Finger Lakes KOS fires, my partner in crime Bob grabs the rod ...and were off, 450' disappears in seconds and he turns to me and says " we get another fish and were screwed".... no sooner than the word come from his mouth the wire dipsey mag out 180' get TANKED !!!! I guess were screwed than because it's happening now. As I'm fighting the wire fish and he's on the rigger the starboard rigger down 100' releases with a Carbon 14 on it, I throw the wire in the Bert's and set the hook on the other rod, now there's 3 kings on and the chaos is getting a bit stress full. Bob's fish is almost at the boat a I'm the net man, mind you there's still 2 other king peeling line on a wire and the rigger I've put in the rod holder on the cannon. As I net the first fish and wrestle a #23 on board the fourth rod, another wire out 200' takes off on a rip that's got it folded to the cork. "your not done, take this..." handing him the 4th king to hit in 10 minutes. I grab the 2nd rod and wrench her home to see another #20 plus fish on the floor. There's still 2 more to fight and were both running on adrenaline, I get the rigger and he's on the wire when they cross paths, convinced the mono fish is going to cut off I make a split second dive under him and my 50/50 shot at picking under proves true, there clear and now we can work on landing the last 2. The smoke clears ALL 4 fish on my first QUAD have hit the bottom of the boat. In 30 minutes of total pandemonium we have just placed # 83.61 of king on the bottom of the Lund. 2nd in the SCS & the 2nd in the LOC, 18th place brown My loving wife tells me to keep it up....$$$$ ( no Gambler, you can't have my horse shoe just yet) the fall derby could be REAL fun ???
  13. I'm just glad the stars finally aligned and we were able to get out together. Wondering if Tom L. is cursing you for not bringing him along. Damn that thing looks bigger and bigger EVERY time I look at the picture !!!
  14. Well Done, although I must say I was counting my chickens before they hatched. My #14.12 had me thinking of a $250 weekly check. Congrats on a great Brown. My king will keep me checking the leaderboard daily Steve W.
  15. I'd like to rebut your statement, I've got a 2009 150 HO on my Lund Pro V Se and I changed from a 3 blade to a 4 blade. I gain both speed and hole shot. Having gone from a 21" 3 blade Ballistic to a 4 blade OMC renegade I couldn't be happier.
  16. funny you ask, just went through my bag this afternoon and realize that of the 1000 or so spoons I have on the boat a simple silver/green NK 28 and an old Pirate Mag spoon in "spook" have taking countless fish. Black and glow ladderback @ first light is a real winner. Now I run Moonshine "Carbon 14" in the pre-dawn hours and after the sun is up a 8" green spindoc with a green crinkle Atomic fly.
  17. nothing works like a flash bulb for a camera but there a pain to carry and not very durable. Pier fishing with Moonshine spoons, 2 or 3 wacks with the flash and I've seen my spoon 40-50 yards away and 15' down. That being said when it's that bright I've never caught a fish there scared of it.
  18. I'll often run both frequencies on split screen when rigging deep ( past 80' ) the 50 Hz read the weights and the stacked releases with unbelievable detail. Tweeking of the settings is usually needed
  19. Nice short trip Mr. and I see Uetz found his way to the new boat.
  20. http://www.worldboattoday.com/image/ilml/2003-smoker-craft-192-ultima-spvzls.jpg Seems like 1 hell of a ride , asking price and not wanting a I/O would be the 2 factors in my book.
  21. the only way to even try a launch on Lake Ontario is to install a rail system and be able to pull the boat up and away from the possibility of 12'-15' waves. No thats not a joke. I've seen NW rollers break over the walls @ the Oak, Genesee, and Sodus. Over towards Oswego they get many storms that build bigger. Can your boat hoist lift the pontoon boat 14' off the water............ probably why there's no docks east or west of you
  22. Open ground, find it and fix it ASAP alternator will be working harder than it should.
  23. Agreed, but I'd like to say that if Mr. LaBarr wasn't @ the helm then those fish probably never caught. Congratulations on a great win.
