  1. Nice job, Tom! If you ever want another body/pair of rods for a weekend troll (early a.m.) give me a shout!
  2. All sold out. You guys can just stay home
  3. I'm leaning toward that, may make a small box so I cn use it for my ice fishing lures as well.
  4. Good luck! Be sure to take some pictures if you get anything!
  5. That was kinda what I had in mind. May just do it to pass the time until wifey decides to have the kid. FLX: You going out this weekend anytime with an open seat? Doctor says next Thursday is "go time". If kid isn't on his way out by then, the Petocin train to fatherhood leaves at 7:00 am. Last resort later that day is the "Hostage Rescue" surgery.
  6. Thanks. Never been below 35 feet, in Carribean.
  7. Do people make good use of the glow lures when fishing deeper in summer? Just bought a few, didn't know if it was worth it for building the box, or as GottaBite has indicated, a good spotlight. Heck, may just build the box for the fun of it anyway!
  8. I am curious about this too. I am considering building a "charging box" with lights inside for the lures, but was wondering how much "juice" I should shoot for.
  9. Last year, check-in stations were Inn On The Lake (north end) and Smith Boys/Jansen Marine (south end) I believe. Maybe get info there as well.
  10. June 6 - 7th, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Trout Unlimited.
  11. Nice job! Hope to get my new little one involved in fishing, if he/she ever gets out here! (wife due yesterday)
  12. Wife's cousin jigs for Lakers almost exclusively. Uses the biggest Buckshot rattle spoon he can get, silver in color. Drops it to the bottom, jigs it up a few feet and around for awhile, drifitng as he goes.
  13. I can vouch for the condition of his tackle, Are these the small ones that you had?
  14. Yeah, but they do look similiar except for the coloration.
  15. hmm.... Flopping fish or castration. Tough choice!
  16. Nice fish!! Bet that was a treat without a net or club!
  17. Very sorry for your loss. God bless you and yours.
  18. Got out about 2:20 with wife and daughter from North end. 20 + mph winds and 8 1/2 months-pregnant wifey do not make for a comfortable trip. We ended up pannie fishing near Butler Rd. without success. Went and fished near the city pier and the boat houses to get out of the wind. Caught 2 sunnies, and 1 perch (all released). Hope to get out tomorrow morning at South end and troll away, winds should be much more conducive for a single person. Here's my newest fishing buddy (hiding under the shirt) and my lovely bride.
  19. Nicely done, Jax! You definitely saved his life by heading in to shore and not the dock.
  20. Not quite that close, mine's due in 2 weeks. Don't think I'll head to Mexico for Salmon until then, though (3 hours away by car) .
  21. Bait marked around 30 - 40 feet deep, I was in about 65 FOW. Having depthfinder troubles, didn't see any fish on bottom, though.
  22. Got out @ South end on Saturday around 2:00 pm for my shakedown cruise. No hits, saw 2 large bait pods on the fishfinder as well. Didn't catch any sawbellies, though!
