  1. Bringing this back to the top for us professional complainers.
  2. Dreamweaver bought them Stan. https://www.dreamweaverlures.com/shop/accesories/terminal-tackle/ecfs004-elberta-clipper-fixed-sl/
  3. They work. If you are running solo tight to structure you may find them better than a dipsy because you know where they are behind the boat. Perhaps running near the bottom while you are following a contour line on a finger lake. When I used to run them, I would put the heavier model down middle running deeper than dipsys off to the side. I stopped running them because you have to clear them each time a rigger goes off.
  4. This is a political move. If the offending group were Amish, arrests would have been made. The DEC are upset as hell as their legs were chopped out from under them and the ramifications it will have towards enforcing future poaching cases. Under Cuomo, there has been a march towards getting rid of DEC Officers in favor of rangers. The ranger division wants all the same pay but does not want to carry guns and have to enforce the laws.
  5. Probably some form of appeasement for this https://sportshandle.com/ny-tribes-rfa/

  7. Bloodrun tackle used to have the reel fill numbers for most makes on their website
  8. Congrats on popping your king cherry. Other than a rare March spawner some guy caught drifting the Niagara, I think yours may be the first one caught this year. I have not seen any postings on Spoonpullers for Canadian water kings either. I am picturing what a king rip looks like on a diver out 15’ lol.
  9. Water temp and brown chalky water from ice boom removal makes fishing tough due to poor visibility. With the price of gas, more people will cherry pick their fishing times to match more optimum conditions.
  10. The ice does not extend past Wilson. Definitely colored water but fishable

  13. Interesting to find sunfish and it pairs with some telemetry studies that show browns are like walleye making moves in and out rivers and embayments on daily/nightly forays.
  14. Nice. What a difference one week makes. Those fish look a lot fatter than your batch last week.
  15. Weather downgraded unfortunately. Our little four hour window of fishable wind went down the crapper. Going back to bed.
  16. ……and how quickly it changes. My boat is staying on dry land today.
  17. The hourly forecast for Saturday morning is in and the winds look favorable! Maybe a go!
  18. It helps to look at the hourly forecast on weather.com for the port you are fishing. The early in on the Saturday forecast looks like Saturday morning would be possible out of Sodus
  19. Can you fish out of any port?
  20. The way these weekends keep shaping up, we are going to bypass shoreline brown trout season and head right into king chasing. I have been deer scouting to keep from losing my mind.
  21. I drove by it today. Just that one barge crane. No movement yet.
  22. Okay I stepped in it again. Turns out there is a piece of old broken boom below bridal falls that they are going to remove ahead of the real boom removal upstream. I can’t find any guidance on when the ice boom will be removed. There is very little ice remaining so I have to believe it is getting pulled soon.
  23. The boom is coming out early again this year. Any updates please post here
