Just to keep up on the ongoing happenings, I received the following email, as did everyone who is a part of the Great Lakes Wind Truth forum, from Tom Marks, the Executive Officer of the Great Lakes Wind Truth New York division. ******************************* I am sending you this meeting announcement below in case you would like to attend. I feel it will be very pro wind and supportive of the Great Lake Offshore Wind project however we need to have a presence at the meeting to ask the tough questions. How can wind energy be green if it replaces nothing? Has no capacity value, can not supply base load or peak load power, will kill millions of birds, will use oil in the transmission cases which has to be changed and disposed of and possibly leak, depends upon rare earth materials neodymium magnets only available from China (energy independence?)....ect .. etc.... We won in Erie County now we have to become more visible in our campaign, we are far from victory.
