  1. Hey LOU friends, Spoon lot for sale 33 spoons for $60.00 I bought a big lot from a fellow LOU member a few weeks ago and these are some duplicates and ones I didn't need along with a few of my own collection I didn't need anymore. Many are brand new. Shipping will be included for this price. PM me if interested Thanks, Chris
  2. WTG gentlemen. Captain Matt is a class act - you learned from one of the best and he's always eager to share his knowledge with others. Great job men!! Tight lines gentlemen and stay safe, Chris
  3. Outstanding job - WTG. Good luck and be safe - most likely we will be blown off this weekend as the only day we have free in Sunday......so it's nice to live through other's reports to feel the action!! Thanks again, Chris
  4. Many, many, many times. 42 second flasher/fly on a deep 600' copper has caught 100's for me along with many on wire - usually a white flasher (i.e. green dot) with a white or green fly. I have even caught lake trout on a stationary flasher that was sitting on the bottom when my boat became disabled at sea (line around my prop) and my wire lines sank to the bottom and were just dragging along at drifting speed. I'm not saying that lake trout are easy to catch.....but they're easy to catch.... Good luck, Chris
  5. http://www.fishdoctorcharters.com/template.tpl?selector=video 6th video link is the wire line knot Good luck, Chris
  6. Mayer's launch is a dump - short docks, annoying things in the way when you're driving in, etc. It's doable, but a 24' boat is tough, especially with the low water level. Do yourself a favor and use the county launch on the west side of the channel Good luck, Chris
  7. I have a good Lowrance but it will be my last one. I cannot see my riggers past 80-100' unless I turn up the sensitivity to >90 and I have changed the frequency many times only to have the same outcome. However, when i turn up the sensitivity, it muddies up the screen with all kinds of garbage which is probably interference with my motor from the gain being too high. My next FF will be one of the better units that the charter guys use with a much better transducer. Good luck, Chris
  8. Awesome stuff Matt. Thanks for the great report. Chris

  12. Also - the Rochester area of fishermen/women is a great group with very generous Charter Captains and other fellow rec. anglers who are always eager to help and give advice. They have certainly help put me on the fish this year for sure. Good luck and tight lines mate, Chris
  13. Cheers buddy - always glad to help out the fellow I-Bay dudes. Have a great season and stay in touch, Chris
  14. Hello fellow LOU friends, I have a HERO2 and ever since I updated the software last year, the camera freezes at the 1:03 mark and I will have to manually hit the record button to get it going again. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution to fix it? Thanks, Chris
  15. UPDATE: Video link added: https://youtu.be/QpSSO3vLw1g Enjoy folks! I fished with my great buddy Jason today and it was a great day of fishing. We fished out of I-Bay and the 55-65' of water was the best. We fished two riggers, various cores, a slide diver at times, and two wire dipsy rods, and it was one of those days when everything took fish. Early on, it was a green and glow bite and at one point when the sun popped out, it shifted to a black/silver bite. We finished the day 10 for 15 with all Chinook except for one lake trout and we had one break off and two that we lost on core and one on the wire that were true rippers. The reports over the past two days were very helpful in finding the water that held fish - thanks guys!! There were many, many marks and streakers and bait pods and that beautiful green water that we all dream of is where the fish were. The following all took fish or hits: KOS - rigger 45' MVP 42 second - rigger 35' free slider - glow frog SS Slide diver - glow frog spoon I think ten color core - SSW mulatto - rigger 45' diehard Spinny/sweet pea fly - 85' wire diver another MVP 3 color core - Wild bill spoon Awesome spring fishing continues with a very feisty class of kings and the opportunity to catch them on lighter tackle (12# mono). I also love nothing more than catching spring salmon on high divers when they are full of piss and vinegar. Good luck to all and be safe! Chris
